   Excellent food and capable staff; sure those are important; however the real reason to come to Boxer is the : *Exceptional* cocktails curated by the master mixologist owner Why pay 8 or 9$ for a highball when you can pay 15 for 2.5oz of truly astonishing quality. This restaurant is simply underpriced for the quality of food and drinks. Fine dining quality with welcoming causal atmosphere, and excellent curated music that doesn't overwhelm the experience. Truly a gem in YEG.

   I took my girlfriend here for our valentines dinner having never been prior and it turned out to be an amazing experience. We are not fancy people in the slightest but the amazing atmosphere at Boxer made us feel like we were! The food was fantastic (albeit we weren’t sure how to approach some with our forks) but it added to the fun. Our server was great, checking in on us just the right amount and making us feel welcome. I will definitely be returning to check out the brunch and regular menu!

   Considering that in many restaurants the often "associated chaos" on special days like Valentine's Day, the team at Boxer were incredible. Ambience in the newly opened "street space" was very nice, intimate for those that wanted more privacy and the hostess was most accommodating in finding the right table for us. With a set menu that offered three interesting and as it turns out, very tasty choices in appetizers, mains and desserts, we were very pleased at promptness of service, food presentation and delivery and of course the quality of food and excellent taste. A great venue for special occasions and for regular dining and highly recommended when dining in the Old Strathcona area of Edmonton.

   Endless cocktail options, food was delicious from start to finish. The crème brûle was disappointing as it was more like a liquid pudding but everything else was fantastic from starters to mains.

   The Brussels sprouts and drink were delicious. The steak was cooked nicely but steak and fries were cold. Convenient location to Walterdale Theatre.

   Fantastic food and the menu had lots of options to meet the dietary restrictions of the people in our party. We were diverse group of 6 people (ages 15-58) and we all enjoyed the food and the ambiance.

   I honestly didn’t know much about Boxer when I booked. Follow them on Instagram, but don’t see their posts often. Luckily, they were on my local restaurant list & made a reservation there for our weekly Wednesday dinners at various local Edmonton restaurants, for my brother’s birthday. First of all, I LOVE that it is down an alley. It’s very fun & cool & very not Edmonton. Secondly, the decor is so eclectic and wonderful. I absolutely loved the space. I felt like a tourist with all the photos I was taking. Thirdly, our server was wonderful. Robyn is bubbly and fun and told us the coolest history of the building (which should be on the menu), but it was so fun to hear the story from her & the cool way it was heated back in the day (also think they should do $10 tours for charity). Finally, the food. Truly delicious. The presentation and flavour were fantastic. The farrow served with the chicken….UNBELIEVABLE! My friend ordered the kale salad with her salmon and I was teasing that kale should be outlawed. She said the salad was great, so I tried a tiny bite and it was very good. I’ve never tasted good kale. I guess the secret is in the massage and looks like Boxer massages their kale! My brother also had the salmon with the regular risotto side and really enjoyed it & his friend had the steak frites which was cooked to perfection & the fries looked really good. My brother finished with the apple jack creme brule, but I never asked how it was, the dish was totally clean though when we were finished chatting with Robyn. I am so happy Boxer was on my list & that I made the reservation.

    The service at Boxee was some of the best I have experienced in Edmonton. The food is delicious and the atmosphere of Boxer is cozy with a low level of volume while dining with other guests.
