   Had the soup of the day which was beautiful, it was thick smooth and super tasty, the sunday dinner however was a little disappointing, everything was just a little bit average and not what you’d expect from a restaurant with a reputation like Branches, it felt more like a sunday dinner you’d get at home and not from a restaurant, still nice but we were hoping for some sort of a Branches twist on some parts of the dish. Servers were so nice asking how the meal was and topping up our wine. The atmosphere was okay, unfortunately there was little kids present and screaming. It happens and cant be helped but can be frustrating for couples who want a peaceful evening.

   Fantastic staff, very welcoming on arrival. Great drinks knowledge. Very clued up on the food they are serving. The food quality, presentation and taste were outstanding. This is not the cheapest venue by far, but you pay for what you get. The bread platter we shared was a great start before our king prawn starters, both excellent. My main of beef fillet and short rib was melt in the mouth. My partners beef feather blade was as equally tender. Bothe deserts cheesecake and "Apple" were both excellent. The evening rounded off with two stunning cocktails. Well worth a visit.

   Absolutely stunning food. Top service, very attentive. Yes it's pricey but it's 100% worth it

   Fixed price menu was okay value. Fishcake starter was literally the size of a 50p coin hence the low value and lower food score. I would be angry if I had paid for it as a standalone starter. Chicken main was fine but, again, portion size of "seasonal veg" entailed one tiny pomme fondant (no more than 2 inches tall) and one single piece of leek (again, no more than 2 inches tall!). If going for fixed price you definitely need a side!!!! Cheesecake was the real saviour. Finally a decent portion and delicious! All in all, there are far, far better value menus in the area for similar price points (think Hinnies, Blackfriars etc)

   Good food, however service at the bar whilst waiting for the table was basically non existent. Basically ignored by numerous staff before I had to approach the bar for service only to be told that they’d come to the table despite waiting for over 15 minutes.

   The Garlic king prawns for starters were excellent, the beef dinner was extremely tasty and the sticky toffee pudding with a cappuccino for desert was lovely

    Lovely evening with amazing food and fabulous staff. We were so well looked after by everyone. From entering the restaurant, nothing was too much trouble, all staff were friendly and attentive. The food was so well presented and tasted great. No complaints at all. Finally… the ‘Apple’ desert is a must try for anyone visiting the restaurant!
