Welcome to The Brasserie. We’re open all week for delicious breakfasts, satisfying lunches and rather indulgent afternoon teas. Or you can just pop in for a coffee and a slice of home made cake – we’ll even let you use our wifi.

The Brasserie offers a relaxed and welcoming ambience (and deeply comfortable chairs). For us it’s all about the food – fresh, local, seasonal and prepared with an eye for playful and inventive new combinations: all from our open kitchen – come and have a look!

Our menu is classic modern British with a twist, and we pride ourselves on sourcing as locally as possible.

We really are passionate about every detail. We cure our own salt beef (from local Dales cows), smoke our own salmon, and bake all our own bread and cakes fresh each morning. We’ll forage for wild garlic, sweet talk local farmers into selling us their best beasts and scour the area for exciting new produce.

We were a family of 11 persons meeting for lunch halfway from our homes. It was a busy Bank Holiday Monday. The party of 4 from Harrogate were held up in the traffic and so were late. The service staff were outstanding; they served the party which were already there and then the others when they arrived. Somehow they managed to serve the main course all together without any fuss. It was a most happy occasion and we felt very welcome and in no way rushed. The food was good as usual, and cooked to order. We would strongly recommend the Court Yard to anyone who wants a family gathering.

Very friendly. We were made very welcome and weren't hurried out when we had finished eating. Food was good, though a wider choice of standard English food would have been good.

Well decorated and presented in a Beautiful part of the country. Friendly staff and generally good food. However the lemon sole was brought out whole with the head still on. Fine to an extent but the way it was cut made it impossible to eat the fish without getting mouthfuls of bones. On top of this when you consider they never gutted the fish meaning the stomach was still in it on our plate. There may be people that enjoy eating fish guts but I'm certainly not one of them. The restaurants response was that it was the fish roe. I can guarantee that's not all it was. Asked the waitress to find out why it was served that way. No response. Even while we were paying the same waitress there was nothing mentioned. I think the chef may just need to go back to school and learn how to serve fish properly. Also don't buy the sauvignon blanc while you eat buy it from the shop downstairs as it's cheaper and the restaurant will charge a corkage fee.

I had a very pleasant experience at the Brasserie where I had lunch with my sister and friend. We had a nice table in the corner, the food and service were very good. There was a wide choice of food and drinks and we enjoyed a leisurely pace and comfortable surroundings.

We were actually too early for afternoon tea but the chef did it for us anyway which was really kind. Exceptionally good sandwiches and lovely cakes especially the cherry bakewell. Overall a good experience and good value for money too

Brasserie at the Courtyard provides excellent food and friendly service. Only issue we had was a long wait at lunchtime at least in part due to the number of staff (one front of house and the owner/chef in the kitchen). If you've time for a potentially long chat amongst yourselves you'll love the food.
