After our first dinner here, we immediately cancelled our next night’s reservation elsewhere and went back for more of the most innovative, delicious food we’ve had in a long time. We went for the salmon pate a second time, steak frites perfectly cooked, a truffle mushroom tart to swoon over, and more beignets because—well, why not. They blew us away the first night and the encore was just as ethereal. Cocktails are spot on and the service is that perfect blend of friendly and super-competent. My only complaint is that they’re closing for the deep-winter season. Come on, April re-opening!

This was our fourth visit. This restaurant has proven to be a wonderful alternative in a town dominated by the lobster and seafood that tourists are coming here for. Service, food and ambiance are just great. Looking forward to our visits in 2025.

An extraordinary meal from start to finish. Great cocktails, sublime salmon pate (think mousse), beautiful halibut over butternut squash pyre with roasted veggies and crispy kale, and lobster pot pie with what had to have been an entire lobster’s worth of meat under a a gorgeous puff pastry shell. Dessert was a butterscotch crème brûlée and beignets that levitated off the plate. Fantastic, reasonable wine list. We made a reservation for tomorrow night. Nuff said.

This restaurant is a welcome alternative to the lobster and pizza that proliferate in Bar Harbor. Our appetizers and entrees were excellent and desert was a delight. Really appreciate that they have stayed open into the fall.

Understated elegance and great food. The service was excellent and the prices reasonable. The poached pear dessert was fantastic as well.

Food over all was tasty but luke warm, fish dry and over cooked. Service was slow, not at all personable, had to ask for things twice, in all not friendly, even though it was not busy. We expected better give the reputation of the restaurant. Will try again, maybe it was an off night.

By far the best restaurant in Bar Harbor. Incredible food so perfectly prepared and presented. Best Oysters anywhere; Short Rib and Moules Frites best we’ve had in all our world travels. Butterscotch Creme Brûlée and Chocolate Desserts we will remember forever. Excellent wine list. Chef is a genius and his whole staff is a really special group. 5 stars aren’t enough… we will return again and again. So grateful to them for sharing their art, genius and passion. What a memorable experience. …and the bread…

We are locals and know and like the owner. Took a very good friend for her 80th birthday. SO disappointed in 3 of the 4 entrees—extremely dry and quite flavorless. It was a very expensive dinner and while the appetizers and desserts and drinks were quite good, the overall dinner was a real letdown.
