   We had a fabulous experience once again! It was an extra special date night for us, because exactly 10 years ago we had our very first date at the (now closed) Bravo! in Rookwood. We were excited to celebrate our 10th anniversary with you all, and mentioned it in the comments when we made our reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant, the hostess immediately grand and congratulated is on our anniversary. Our server, Makayla (hope i’m spelling her name right!), was an absolute peach. She took excellent care of us and of course the food was as delicious as always. She really made it an extra special experience and we are so grateful to her and to Bravo!

   First impressions are important, and unfortunately this restaurant failed at the introduction. They had VERY inexperienced staff greeting guests, with one receptionist standing out as rude and unhappy. No welcoming greeting. No smiles. Abrupt exchanges. It was a negative tone setter. And as we looked at the tables, we noticed the booth directly behind the reception desk - a booth the receptionists see every time they turn around to walk out - with garbage on the floor. Ironically, they almost immediately seated two guests who already had had a long wait at the same booth. When the guest asked if they could sweep the garbage from the floor of the table the receptionist responded, “What?” As in, “you’re expecting a clean booth?” A manager was called to address that issue, but ultimately it’s the manager’s job to put competent, trained people at reception, and to train bussing staff to clean not just table tops, but booth floors. The process appears to be “wipe the table tops clean and toss the dirt on the floor.” We observed another booth bussed the same way - right next to us. (Pictured) We were a party of 2 seated at a table for 6, and a booth right next to us was left empty. It was later seated with a party of 4. We felt like we were seated in a stadium. The food was fine, and our waitress was attentive. But even she was obviously frustrated with the receptionist staff. Overall, we will stick with Brio, which was about 5 steps above Bravo.

   Everything was very good. Food came out very slow. We explained to the waiter we had another reservation to get to. Even bringing the bill took far longer than it should have. Food was great!

   The Chicken Marsala was over the top delicious. The Lasagna was good, but not exceptional. Service was very good. We like it better than its sister restaurant Brio
