With a service charge set at 15%, I would have expected decent service. Instead we were completely ignored for 20mins on arrival until we managed to flag down a waiter and order drinks. There were maybe another five tables occupied at the restaurant at this point. The staff would have struggled to be less attentive - every time we’d run out of water we’d need to ask. Every time we wanted to order something we’d need to go to an effort to find a waiter. At 9pm we got asked if we wanted anything else. When we said no, the waitress said “so you want the bill?” There seemed to be no system for looking after tables with staff just wondering aimlessly and doing their best to ignore customers. The food was not bad, but the whole experience felt like a major chore and guests an inconvenience to the restaurant - for £70+ per person for two drinks and a main I will most certainly be taking my custom elsewhere.

Overall an “okay” experience but at over £30 for. Sunday lunch errs on the expensive side . Service charge set at 15% in line with US with no valid justification whatsoever, you do have the option to amend down but only if you ask. We won’t be going back , which is a shame as has the potential to be really great, however the over inflated prices and the US style tipping is a big no no

Service exceptionally patchy. Primarily as they were understaffed and mostly had one person trying to run around and cover all tables while the manager was stuck behind the bar making drinks most of the time. It really wasn’t that busy but it felt busy due to the somewhat chaotic and haphazard service. For example, I sat down and waited twenty five mins to get served, while tables that came in long after me got served first. Long gaps between receiving drinks and food order being taken. Etc. That said, the service was friendly enough and no complaints there. Despite knowing the service can be this way, I still go to the restaurant on an occasional basis because the food is pretty solid and repeatable. It’s not particularly cheap but it has the GR name attached to it…even though I doubt he’s ever set foot in one of the restaurants!

The Lunch menu had plenty of your comfort foods with a modern twist. All were well prepared and presented and, importantly, tasted great. The team provided excellent and attentive service. I have no complaints; it's a really good lunchtime choice.

The menu & food are great- exactly as you'd expect. But the restaurant was empty (Sat eve) so lack of atmosphere & the service was bizarre & slow. Even tho 3 serving staff for 4 tables we just gave up on ordering dessert.

The place was pretty empty yet service was slow. Half the Family enjoyed the meal. The two different steaks were very fatty and under cooked.

Went on a Saturday for a late lunch, we were the only table in there so there was little to no ambience or atmosphere which was a great shame, though on the plus side we could hear each other speak and the service was quick. Food was lovely though, couldn't fault that.
