Incredible as always. Arctic Char was outstanding and the Fondue starter was fun.

Amazing every time. The roasted oysters are a "must order". Loved the service staff who worked seamlessly to get us taken care of. A Richmond gem

Food was mediocre, our server was pretty spot on, notorious high volumes in this restaurant were slightly subdued as they were only 1/2 to a 1/3 capacity. Second time dining there but won't be returning

Great decor. Modern… food was good but not up to the hype. Service super friendly but not attentive.

This is one of the top restaurants in RVA. Consistently excellent dishes fit for the season. Strong cocktail choices. Delicious wine list. And attentive service. A true gem.

Service and ambiance was nice. However this was an off night in regards to the kitchen…almost seemed like the ingredients needed were not delivered for Saturday night service. The root vegetable salad was basically a plate of radicchio. The fondue was mediocre with dipping options of white fingerling potatoes, white sourdough bread pieces and white grilled cauliflower. Ughh!

The food was incredible, but what really made the experience was our server and the food runners. Everyone was so nice, and our server really made sure we had a wonderful time. Thank you.

Every time we visit Richmond we have dinner at Brenner Pass. The food and service are always outstanding! The pumpkin polenta bread, root vegetable salad, Arctic char, cacio e peppe, and pumpkin pot de creme, ALL fabulous! Grant is always so welcoming and kind to us when we dine there and Jess provided attentive and friendly table service. Big shout out to Grant and Jess!

It was our first visit. The menu showed imagination and creativity in the combination of ingredients. We so enjoy having dishes that I've never created at home. The wait staff was knowledgeable yet not intrusive. Nice ambiance too.

My husband and I are a couple of modest means and decided to eat at Brenner's Pass because I was celebrating a major milestone birthday. The maitre d' wished me a happy birthday then snuck in a dig with "Turning 22, right?" Not funny. We enjoyed our oyster appetizer and the warm sourdough bread. I was excited to try the duck breast but it came out lukewarm. I urged my husband to start his burger so it wouldn't cool while I waited for my duck breast to be properly heated up. He was 2/3 through by the time the duck breast returned to the table. Fortunately, it was delicious, especially the sauce. Hubby ordered the pistachio financier and I ordered the chocolate torte for dessert. We had to switch plates because I could barely get my fork into the extremely dense torte. He didn't mind it and I ended up loving the financier. So, Brenner's Pass was a mixed bag for us. I believe the chef let the duck breast cool while he finished my husband's burger. That hints at poor time management. I could have lived without the maitre d's joke but some people probably wouldn't mind. I think with a few tweaks it could have been a perfect night. Fortunately, our waitress Kiki was delightful and attentive. I'm not sure if we'll go back, however.
