   First of all it is starting to look like its best before date has long since passed. The benches need serious replacements for example. The wine on two different glasses had turned and were not drinkable. Oxidation or was it poor storage? We both had items requiring a blackening spice and char. None to be seen nor tasted. The first choice was to have a steak with Gorgonzola crust. Our server told us a new company policy was only minimum cooking was now medium or more cooked. Medium rare was not available. Seriously ??? The finishing note was it was over 1 hour before our hand held sandwiches arrived with very few patrons inside or outside the premises. All I can say with certainty is they have lost me as a patron permanently.

   The avocado toast needs to be served on something stronger than just wheat toast. It was soggy. It needs noble bread or a hearty seedy bread. I know the menu says it is served like that but it wasn’t. The first time I had it, it was, but not this time. Also, one piece is not a lot/enough. I’ve been other places that serve 2 pieces for the same price with a salad. You could at least add some greens to the plate for a small side salad. The flavor was amazing! It would make it more bang for your buck to have 2 pieces. It’s not worth $16. I am not sure we will be back for brunch.

   I wouldn’t come here again. There is no flavor. We had a reservation, yet still waited. We ordered drinks and didn’t get them until 1/2 through our meal and only because we asked where they were. We didn’t get our bill was all messed up. We didn’t even finish our food it was not good.

   We have been going to Brio for over 10 years. They are known for their excellent bread. What we had last night was not up to par. When I asked the waiter about it, he said we were on the backup bread, whatever that means. We also ordered the Carpaccio which we do often. The meat was not the same quality or color. The salad used to be a arugula, this was lettuce head chopped, mixed and thrown on top. Definitely not a high quality meal.

    The filet medallions were very tasty in combination with the asparagus and mashed potatoes. I will have it again. Our waitress did an excellent job of keeping things flowing on a timely basis. I liked that the ambient noise was lower than the last time we dined here.
