We found the food mid. The service was amazing. The pasta was heavy on tomato and masked the taste of other ingredients. The chicken was grilled well but lacked flavor. Overall an average experience.

Took my wife out to dinner after days of bitter cold. Brio is one of our favorite restaurants so it was an obvious choice. Upon entering the restaurant we noticed our favorite waiter, Miguel, was working the bar area. One of the booths in that space was available, and I asked him if we could sit there. He seated us immediately. After bringing fresh warm sourdough bread and butter and water, we ordered dinner. My wife selected a Caesar salad and Spaghetti Pomodoro, and I opted to try the Taste of Tuscany special (salad, entree and dessert). I selected the chopped salad (recently removed from the regular menu but needs to be returned), Chicken Milanese for my entree, and Tiramisu for dessert. I added a glass of Chianti that was recommended too. Our salads were made to order, with fresh crisp greens and very tasty dressings. I could tell my wife wanted to switch since she always ordered the chopped salad when it was on the menu, so we shared both salads. Both were delicious! The entrees are always generous portions, and the pastas are perfectly cooked Al dente. The Pomodoro sauce is one of my wife’s favorites, and her plate was clean. The Chicken Milanese was crispy fried chicken with mozzarella cheese paired with spaghetti in an herbed cream sauce all atop a pool of marinara. It was like a play on Chicken Parmigiana and very well executed. My plate was clean too. The Tiramisu is one of my favorite desserts, and Brio’s version was spot on and a great finish to a great meal. Miguel was exceptional as usual - one of the best servers we have ever encountered in any restaurant we visited. Oh, I forgot to mention the Taste of Tuscany was $25 for the 3 courses. This is one of the best values for dinner you’ll find anywhere with food of this quality and flavor. Keep up the specials Brio!

Had a very nice happy hour experience with former colleagues. We had several different people, taking care of us when we arrived making sure we have water and attention until our party was complete. When it was time to order our drinks and food, Miguel was our waiter. He was very attentive and everything moved very smoothly. I think everyone was pleased. There was a concern about the Pinot Grigio, not tasting right and our bill was adjusted for one of the glasses

our ladies' lunch turned out to be quite an interesting event. I had booked a table for eight for lunch, requesting a round table if possible. The morning of our meeting, I was notified that three of the women were unable to attend. Not wanting to occupy a larger table than needed, I called the restaurant to tell them of the change. I was then told that one of the women WAS going to attend, so I again called the restaurant to tell them we would be a party of six. I spoke to the same person, who actually seemed annoyed at my second call. She informed me that our "table was already set" so the change was unimportant. When the first two of the group arrived (myself being one of the two) she gestured to a long, rectangular table set for eight. At that point the dining room was nearly empty, perhaps two booths along the window were occupied. There were at least three round tables, set for six people, visible from where we were standing. I asked the hostess if we could possibly switch to one of those tables. I was given a flat NO as a response, told that tables were assigned according to the server and our long table was already assigned. We stood next to the table waiting for the others to arrive. The friend who was with me attempted to try again and approached the hostess to ask if we could have one of the round tables. The hostess LITERALLY WALKED AWAY FROM MY FRIEND MID-SENTENCE. As the other four friends arrived, we debated walking out completely. At that point our waiter, Dave, approached us and offered to turn the two rectangle tables sideways, creating more of a square, making conversation easier. He was a terrific waiter, and made the unpleasant start a little more tolerable. Our meal was fine, Brio has a nice menu and food was very good. However, the rudeness of the hostess really got us off to a crummy start. AND....the entire time we were in the restaurant, the THREE ROUND TABLES REMAINED UNOCCUPIED. Truly disappointing!

This was our second time there and we enjoyed our food. Everything was fresh or bread was warm and the food was amazing. Will be returning soon.

I enjoyed the food and service here. I did ask for a SURPRISE birthday dessert at the end for the person I was with and was not given that so, don’t bother trying to use the reservation request at this restaurant for a birthday celebration. I don’t think anyone even read my reservation request at all so, what is the point in asking customers for requests if they don’t care to honor them? The prices are decent even if their portion sizes are smaller you end up getting what you pay for. The Lobster bisque soup was delicious but, it had very little lobster inside which was disappointing. I did appreciate the authentic and homemade pasta but, there is room for improvement with their sauces(I would recommend that you ask your server to try the sauce before making a final decision). There is also an excellent adult beverage menu with lots of variety to choose from. I would come back here again to eat just not for a birthday dinner and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking about coming here to give it a try.

First up the direction to brio restaurant posted on this app is not correct! The map takes you closer to university of De, it should be by Christiana mall. At the restaurant the ambience coming from the staff are so sad. Not a single one smiled during my 1 ½ hrs of dining. I do feel bad that they did have to work on this special holiday. Reason I decided to tip 20% even how badly our service and experience on this supposedly special holiday for us too. It wasn’t a complete waste because Brio has an incredible chef, they offer a succulent menu. Our dining experience saved our disappointment otherwise
