   Brooklyn Chop House was on point with the food and drink quality. The portions were great and the price was a bit high but it is Times Square. For service, I gave 3 stars because our server Amanda was good but she failed to check on us during our meal. She failed to ask if everything was ok and she failed to inquire about us wanting to purchase more drinks, which we did. For a $50 mandated gratuity, I expect better service.

   My Husband and I were in NYC to see Othello and after, we noticed Papoose getting out of his car and going into the restaurant! We got back to the hotel and I was like ooooo, let’s see if they have a splot available! It must be good since Papoose is rolling up to it! It was FANTASTIC! Best lamp chops I’ve ever tasted and I’m from Texas! Chrisfer has the glazed ribs and cheeseburger dumplings! I also had the bao buns as well! The bartender also made the drinks strong, and good! Carolina who was our waitress asked if we wanted dessert and mentioned a butter cake!! We were like say less!!!! It was MAGNIFICENT! I recommend this place 10/10!!

   This is my 2nd time dining here and I was very disappointed considering how much I enjoyed the first experience. Let’s start with where we were seated..we were seated in a section right in front of an exit door where employees were in and out of the entire night. It was very distracting and it killed the vibe. We ordered the surf and turf and the lobster was delicious but the steak came out overcooked and we had to send it back. We also ordered the crab fried rice and asparagus and it was really good. Overall for what we paid it was very disappointing. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but my experience and food should match it.

    The food was really good. Especially the rib eye and the pork fried rice. But the environment and service didn’t match the food to be very honest. I asked for a quiet spot since we just came from outside in Times Square which was swarming with people. They ended up taking us to the basement which didn’t have the same special feel as the upstairs main level did. If I had known, I would’ve just said keep us upstairs. Also the service was honestly terrible for such a well known restaurant and supposed to be upscale. Def didn’t meet all my expectations. If I go back, it would be for take out or if someone treats me I’d probably try the downtown location.
