   Brown's Beach House is a beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere is very, very nice and the view over the ocean is lovely. The problem is their significant price increases since covid. I am a local who used to go to Brown's for every special occasion and have recommended it extensively over the years. Not anymore. MP for a piece of okay, but not great, mahi mahi, three spears of asparagus, and three fingerling potatoes is robbery. $78 for a piece of Kampachi with rice porridge? Seriously? The menu online was one third the price and double the size of dining choices. I trusted the online menu even though friends and family have told me that it's nearly doubled in cost. The food was downright mediocre when it used to be fantastic. Spending money on dinner is fine as long as I can't make it better at home. The food we ate last night was, without a doubt, something that I could have made at my house and liked much more. Do yourself a favor and skip Brown's until they get back to their previous standard.

   We had a good meal, but for the price we were charged, it should’ve been an outstanding meal. I can’t give it top rating because it was a pretty average meal for such a high price.  The mahi-mahi was a little overcooked as it was tough and chewy. We ordered a side of mushrooms and it turned out the entrees were heavy on mushrooms already - that should have been pointed out. Service was excellent.

   Food excellent and well-prepared with well-selected sides. Ube rolls delicious and coffee brûlée dessert hit a home run. Service impeccable while friendly and unrushed and very efficient.

   We reserved a table at the front of the restaurant two months ago to celebrate my 60th Birthday. My wife and I are staying at the Fairmont for two weeks. When we arrived no table had been reserved and all tables had been taken three minutes after the restaurant opened. The food was very average. The rudeness of the management was something else. The evening was concluded with a Happy Birthday written in chocolate on a small plate 3/4 of a strawberry cut up with two small stale biscuits with no candle. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

    Lovely ambience and food. Beautiful presentation. I had the Five Spice Duck Breast which was very tasty - duck confit, rainbow chard, pineapple Kuleuna rum sauce and Molokai sweet potato bread. My husband had the fresh Mahi Mahi - another wonderful dish. Our service was outstanding due to our wonderful waitress - Chelsi. She shared her knowledge of the menu, steering us on our choices based on the questions she asked. She was attentive but not overbearing. She was fun and charming. It was a wonderful evening.
