   Had 18 people for a birthday dinner. Service was awesome and food very good. Perfect for a large group and shared 4 items which was perfect.

   The only very small issue with our visit to Buca in Mesa was at check-in. We arrived 5 min early for our reservation but there was no one at the Host station and there were several people in the lobby, some already checked in and some not. It was about 10 min before a hostess appeared, obviously she was busy in the restaurant. We checked in and it was another 15 min before we were seated although when seated it wasn’t busy so not sure about the delay. After that it was great. Our server was helpful with selections and very patient and pleasant. Food arrived in a timely manner and everything was very good. We had a group of 8 so tried 4 different items and shared and everyone in our group enjoyed all the choices. We all thought the cost was very good as well with food, wine and tip coming in at $85/couple, quite reasonable for an evening out these days. I had been before but others hadn’t although everyone commented they would return.

   I was very disappointed at the quality of food and service last night. The waitress Maria never came back to the table and the dirty dishes remained in front of us for longer than necessary. The chicken limone was dry and very small portion. I have eaten in the Buca in Woodland Hills Ca and the food was much better there. I am not sure if I will ever return.

   Had a long wait to get our table. Over 1/2 hour. Once at our table took a while for drinks ibut our waitress was busy and overall gave great service

   There was just two of us and we didn’t know that you couldn’t order the lunch menu on the weekend so we had to order all of this food. The pizza was not very good. The antipasta salad was very good, but it could serve 4 oeople. And we ordered garlic bread, which was around 12 pieces before the server told us that we didn’t have a lunch menu to order from so we had way too much food. And kind of costly for two people for lunch.

   Making the reservation was a breeze and being kept updated. It was our daughters birthday and she brought a group of teenage friends so Buca de Beppo was a good choice because we didn't feel like we had to keep our voices way down. The birthday singing made a great video too!
