    It is extremely disappointing that I made a reservation online, received confirmation that the reservation was made, and received additional confirmation the day before we were to appear for the reservation just to find out that the restaurant was closed. Really ruined my wife's birthday.

    They are CLOSED and Open Table didn’t even know it. Showed up for birthday dinner to locked doors. Very poor experience w Open Table.

    I made a reservation for 10 people to celebrate my birthday on 11/9. When we got to the restaurant, it was out of business, so we had to find a last-minute place that would accommodate all 10 of us. Tks, Liliana

    Great as always but sad to say we were told by staff that tonight was last night of this location, doors were close. Thanks staff, especially Olive for her taking care of us. Best to all of you.

    I'll admit, Buca is not for everybody. It's HUGE portions of relatively standard Italian fare - don't go for dinner for 1! But it is good for larger groups where everyone can share and pretty much get what they want. The interior screams Italian - from stock photos to an accordion on the wall, etc. There's even a Pope Table that you can reserve Kitschy? You bet and that's what Buca is selling. The food isn't the star, but you will have enough left-overs to last for several days. Wait staff is generally enthusiastic, even if the schtick is starting to wear thin. Buca may be due for a refresh, considering recent financial difficulties and reports of the closure of many locations. So go to Buca with no allusions that it is anything other than what it is.
