   Had a beautiful evening with my family. A hidden speakeasy in San Jose. The food was great! They only serve appetizers which is a nice option for those who like to try different things on the menu. The drinks menu had a nice selection. They didn’t have a wine menu at the moment, but the waiter was nice and showed us the wines he had available. Nice option to hangout with friends or even a romantic date.

   Los enyucados son espectaculares! Comimos la burrata, el queso frito y pollo con salsa caribeña, todo estaba delicioso.

   El servicio estuvo un poco lento ese día. Nos costó que nos tomaran la cuenta, tuvimos que preguntar en varias oportunidades si podían tomarnos la cuenta. Una vez pedimos, nos trajeron primero los platillos antes que las bebidas, tuvimos que preguntar nuevamente varias veces que nos trajeran lo que pedimos de tomar. En general la comida estuvo bien, pero nada espectacular. Los camarones caribeños si no eran lo que esperábamos, les faltaba sabor y el arroz estaba como lavado. El lugar estaba precioso y la presentación de la comida muy buena.

   With no street level signage, but welcoming staff to open the red gate, we entered in to a delightful dining experience. Wait staff was welcoming, described the small plate options beautifully and the food was outstanding! The drink options were delicious, especially recommended is the spicy margarita! Wine bar does not accurately describe the restaurant as wine selection is exceptionally limited, but the red wine we had was excellent! Certainly will be back when we return to Costa Rica!!

    Sin duda es uno de mis lugares favoritos de San José para ir por unos drinks deliciosos acompañado de buena comida! 🤩
