   Bull Valley is always a pleasure. It was little bit busy on Saturday but it made the ambience more enjoyable! It was great to see more people support this fantastic restaurant. The food took a little longer than usual but truly, was too busy enjoying my date night to even notice. Waiter was superb and super friendly. We had the steak frites, burger, deviled eggs, bread and honey butter, spiced nuts, and almond brown butter cake. All 10 out of 10.

   Great place to eat. I had mussels and Brussel sprouts. Both were amazing. My husband got the ribeye and was very pleased at how tender it was. We saw the short ribs so our friend ordered that and couldn't stop raving about it.

   I RARELY leave reviews, but last nights meal at BVR was exceptionally amazing. We've been going here since 2014 and the team & menu at BVR just keeps on impressing us. Great job and we look forward to our next visit! Cheers

   Great food but the prices are high. We went for the gluten free fried chicken but were sadly disappointed to find they’ve replaced their gluten free fried chicken option with a gluten full version. Why Why Why? It was so good the way it was, and worth the long drive from Walnut Creek. We found a delicious alternate (and more expensive) option on the menu and it was good, but did not fill my need for comfort food. Service was good but a bit slow

   A wonderful restaurant in the delightful village of Port Costa. The ambiance and service are top notch. The food is very good, though as vegans our choices were limited. We were able to put together a meal with some salads and side dishes, but would be nice if a thoughtful, non-pasta vegan main could be added. There wasn't any protein or fat in our dinner, so we left feeling a bit hungry, though the omnivore friends we were with were quite satisfied. We are hoping that the restaurant recognizes this issue so we can return and bring other friends in the future.

   Everything was great! A little dark inside but overall great experience. The staff was on top of everything and the waiter had excellent recommendations of what to order!

    It was my first time at BVR and I will recommend it most for families who want an upscale dining experience and couples out on a date. I went with two foodies who own their own restaurant, so they are the types that notice every single element about a restaurant - lighting, decor, noise level, heat of the dishes coming out, plating, timing, etc. And they were delighted with every element of our dining experience. Plates are substantial - you're not going away hungry. Wine list is very well-curated, great glass pours and good bottle choices up and down the price range; and the cocktail list is super interesting. Also - great for families. Lots of tables had young kids of different ages and it was a perfect mix of young and old, young couples and also families. Wasn't too noisy either, clearly they've work hard on that. Highlights - fried chicken, and order all the sides to share. Pork chop was big and lots of great mesquite-y smoky flavor. Beets with burrata, CRAB CAKES!
