Buon Gusto means ‘good taste’ in Italian. We strive to bring you the ‘good taste’ of Italy in all aspects of our restaurant. Located in the historic Victoria Hotel building in St. George’s Square in Downtown Guelph, Buon Gusto is warm and casual with exposed stone walls and a contemporary interior design. Our wood-burning oven, made in Reggello, Tuscany is ‘il cuore’ (the heart) of Buon Gusto. We import molino caputo tipo 00 flour and San Marzano tomatoes from Italy, to make our pizzas in the traditional Neapolitan thin-crust style, hearth-baking them at 900 degrees Fahrenheit for just 90 seconds. Our menu also features pastas made from family recipes and small-plates of antipasti, perfect for sharing with family and friends.

    Our experience was wonderful. We appreciated the flexibility of the staff in accommodating a last minute accommodation of an extra person to our party. Other than a somewhat surly hostess who greeted and seated us the whole evening was fabulous. Shout out to our server Brie who was pleasant and personable. She was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed great interaction and she assisted us in staying within our time frame to ensure we made the event we were attending right after. Food was scrumptious! Beverages were delicious. Service was spot on. Would definitely recommend to others. Thanks for helping us make our family event enjoyable.

    29$ for mediocre, bland, lukewarm pasta with a tablespoon of tasteless, shredded lamb, is not something I would have expected from the reviews. I will not be back and will be sure to tell more people not to bother wasting their money. Our server however, was very pleasant and efficient -- the best part of our evening there.

    Food was excellent as usual. Service was great. We had a person join an hour late and their arrival was handled promptly. Definitely will be back again.

    We were placed at a table right outside the kitchen. Not one to complain, I will admit the sounds of the kitchen started the evening out a bit negative. However the atmosphere changed dramatically with the excellent service we received from both our server and the manager and the quality of our meal . Exceptional service. And made the seating placement a non issue at that point. We have been here before and will return again for sure.

    A yummy start to a lovely evening. Food was delicious arrived with perfect timing,as we had an event to attend. Service was great, Casandra took great care of us. Love Buon Gusto!

    We dad a Christmas lunch with family! Food was fantastic, the place was just buzzing, and great service. I would highly recommend Buon Gusto. You will not be disappointed!

    Great food as always. Never disappoints! Restaurant manager is so kind, always goes out of his way to make sure we are enjoying our meals. Highly recommend visiting when in the mood for yummy pizza and pasta!

    Exceptional dinner with family. The Mushroom Arancini and Gnudi were a mushroom lovers dream Service was attentive and helpful. The calamari arrabiata is the best!

    The food here is always great and so is the service. We were there before a show and the service was quick and we had time for dessert too. A busy place, so be sure to book ahead.
