(Online reservations for 5 or more, please call us)** 2 hour min required for Pre Count Basie show reservations. The classy and elegant Buona Sera is located in Red Bank area of New Jersey. The dining room is gorgeous with carefully planned details and decorations that add a sense of refinement to the restaurant. You can also host an event or party in the Wine Cellar or Tuscan Room. Catering services can be ordered for in-house reservations as well as for outside events.

Buona Sera is a full service bar and restaurant, and our menu is quite extensive, giving you a lot of lunch and dinner options to choose from. Start off with one of the large and flavorful appetizers, then continue to the main course. Entrées at Buona Sera include pasta, veal, choice steaks, chicken, pork chops, various types of ravioli and seafood. Veal chops from this restaurant are some of the most popular dishes on the menu and are worth trying.

    We decided to have lunch before heading out to the Vogel for an early show. We made the wrong choice. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we could not escape the smell of cigars. We started with Caesar Salad that was decent. The mozzarella en Carrozza was all grease and lots of cheese. The entrees came out 20 minutes later. The chicken parm was ok. The Eggplant rollatini was not great.

    Food was excellent. Our server Brandon was fantastic. His suggestions were spot on and he got us out in time for our show next door

    Returning to Buona Sera after 15 yrs did not disappoint. The wait staff were attentive, the value reasonable especially since the serving sizes are very large. It was very crowded for a Sunday afternoon so the noise level was somewhat loud. Our food was served in a reasonable amount of time. Tasty and huge portions. My doggie bag looked like I had not eaten a morsel 😘.

    My favorite restaurant for an after-show dinner! The food, service and atmosphere are all incredibly amazing!! Took my 88 year old mom and sister here after a Johnny Mathis Christmas concert and the staff was so kind, helping my mom get from her wheelchair to a seat at the table. The food is authentic Italian like I remember from childhood. Pricing is very reasonable and the portions are large. And the Christmas music and decorations made it feel like the perfect Christmas celebration for our girls’ night out! Thank you to all at Buona Sera!

    i realize it's the holiday season, that is why I made this reservation almost Two months in advance. I requested the front dining room-facing the kitchen. My dining partners had enjoyed this room for the past couple of years and we were looking forward to it. We were seated in the large noisy rear dining room. Definitly not my choice--but again, its a busy time of year. Food was great, it always is, but I was disappointed that we were not seated as per my request. Again, I know a request is not a guarantee, but I was still dissappointed---the noise level was so loud, it was difficult to have any conversation. Summary---the food was fantastic, the noise level was not.
