Quality of meat in roast dinner disappointing as it had quite a large amount of gristle in it. We did mention it to the waitress

Another great visit and beautiful meal. Service was great from John …The only thing was the discretionary service charge which was very quickly explained to us when bill was received , but the discretionary charge was already added to bill so not really at customers discretion so do you ask for bill to be re calculated…. £30 service charge how is this worked out .. to be fair I wasn’t paying bill but did try and explain he could ask for it to be removed and give a tip that we were able to and felt appropriate…. Just feel there should be a better way of presenting a discretionary service charge of £30 rather than . It already being in your bill and totalled already …felt more expected rather than at our discretion .. if you want to get this removed it needs to be clearer how you do this as a customer again with it already on bill felt a bit expected

Birthday meal on a weekend visit to Glasgow. Food and ambience great, the pork cheek and prawn starter was delicious as was the chateaubriand. Marked down as tables for 2 are too small to cater for all dishes of mains, sides, sauces, wine and water. Didn’t help that we were also seated in a corner so no elbow room and felt cramped which did detract from our enjoyment.
