Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.

    Customer service was excellent I could not ask for more. They just need a better cook or prep person on Saturdays. I got the whipped potatoes which had a watery taste. The crab cake was edible only because it was crab meat. The shrimp egg rolls had a bland taste, every bite really needed to be dipped in there sauce. My husband had swordfish which tasted dry and bitter.

    The worst experience I have experienced at a restaurant on Valentine’s Day/Anniversary. I sat on the outdoor patio where the LED lights constantly blank on and off (Definitely not a great look if someone had a medical condition this would cause a seizure!!) Ordered a my entree which only was brought out with one side when the entree comes with two sides. I was offered my side I didn’t get as a to go meal which I took home but  truffle Parmesan fries shouldn’t have brussels sprouts and fried food mixed in it smh. Lastly when I received my tab there was three extra meals added on from another parties table.  Mention it to the waiter and she brought me back a tab with only two meals taken off so she had to take the tab back once again to get it corrected totally the worst experience ever on a holiday like this!!

    My fiance and I celebrated Valentine’s Day here and we had a great time. The food was delicious. We sat outside the patio and there was some light flickering issues throughout our dinner but the service was great! We will definitely be back

    I invited a table of 6 and we had the most amazing tome ever! The service was second to none and the food seem as though it was made for tv and tasted even better.

    The service and ambiance were fantastic! The only disappointment was that the food arrived much later than expected. We arrived at 6:00 pm and received our entrees around 7:30 pm. Despite this minor delay, we had a great overall experience. Dr. Marvin A. Pryor

    The food was truly a delight! The best part about this visit was our server Mo. He was awesome! He took great care in his greeting and acknowledging our needs! Superb job!

    Dinner was great! Food was amazing, service was amazing, everything was amazing. Brandy, our server was polite, well-versed in the menu, and efficient with service. We had the lobster risotto, grouper, Branzino, red snapper, redfish pontchartrain, Brussels sprouts, bone marrow and escargot, and salmon deviled eggs. We will be back!
