The view is phenomenal!! For locals or visitors, you cannot beat the breathtaking views of the downtown and with the bonus of the Coronado bridge. Definite 5 stars on the view! Service was good, attentive but not overbearing, and food was good. The showstopper though is the view!

We had an incredible lunch today at C-Level!! We had a table outdoors near the water with a beautiful view of the city. We ordered four different entrees. We ordered the “blackened fish tacos”, “cedar plank salmon”, “ahi tuna and salmon poke”, and the “everything crusted ahi tuna”….all were great, but the real stand out was the “everything crusted tuna”. It was delicious!

Ok, so the location... beautiful. Though it was raining, the location was beautiful. The atmosphere inside is very relaxing. The host and hostess were very friendly and welcoming. We sat at the bar first to wait for our table. The service from the bartender was fast and efficient. The drink was great. We were then sat down and attended to promptly. Our server was fast and friendly. We had for an appetizer the calamari and shared the lobster bisque. For the main course we had the wagyu burger and the ny strip steak. This is where I just can't. Having gone to school and worked at a few restaurants, I've learned a lot about food and cooking and especially flavors. The burger was big, and cooked as we asked. Medium rare. It lacked flavor. The burger had no seasoning. The steak.... this also had no flavor. It was cooked medium when I asked medium rare. The red wine reduction helped a bit. I think im harsh on it because Cowboy Star has set the San Diego standard of steak and flavor. The mashed potatoes tasted like if they were from a box or just watered down. The broccolini seemed to have already been precooked and was just sitting there waiting to be warmed up. It had that distinct flavor of overcooked. I had the luxury of sitting next to the executive chef as she was dining with friends. If she would've asked me my opinion of the food, I would have broken it down. I will say the hospitality makes it good. The lobster bisque was the best thing we had. We will most likely not be coming back. The food wasn't worth the price. Maybe we're paying more for the atmosphere. But it was nice and lovely to enjoy my anniversary there.
