   I love Cafe Cruz but last night was a bit off, it took our server a while to get over to us, and my salad quality was sub par from having it before. All was ok in the end but just seemed like not the quality of service and food I'm used to.

   As always, the food was cooked to perfection and the service was exemplary. We love eating on the pretty heated patio. The salad was interesting with toasted pecans, arugula, and apples ( which were too tart for my palate) and had a great vinaigrette dressing. Loved all of it!

   Our table was very kindly changed when a large party was seated in a quiet area and my friend and I had trouble reading each other's lips during communication. We appreciated the host's efforts to make us comfortable.

   Made a reservation for 2 a week ahead of time only to be stuck in a corner walled off seat next to the kitchen door...2 people who walked in got a nice table. Not ok. Told them we wanted a different table, or we would go elsewhere. In all honesty, that table should not even be there. If you are facing the back wall, there is a large wall to your right, where the kitchen and wait staff are rushing in and out of. Back up your chair at the wrong time, and it would be a mess.

   We are six long time friends who chose our local Cafe Cruz for the consistently good food and professional, friendly service service. The evening did not disappoint. We enjoyed craft cocktails, local wine and the incredible specials of salmon and sword fish, one of us chose the trusty rotisserie chicken dinner. Two of us requested to shared a meal, no problem. One wanted to make a substitution also no issue. The fish was cooked to perfection, every bite was delicious. We indulged in dessert, tiramisu, creme Brulé and sorbet. We have been going to Cafe Cruz for years and will return!

   Our experience was, as always, delightful. From the reservation process online, and calling the host/ess to say we were running 5-10 minutes late through paying our bill, everything was fabulous. Servers and expeditors/support staff are top notch! Personable, knowledgeable, efficient, accurate, and responsive. Even servers we have had before (but were not assigned to us) greeted us warmly and chatted briefly. The food was exceptional. My hubs and I split a special - rotisserie smoked New York steak and the romaine salad. Our grand had the kids rotisserie chicken. Everything was delivered hot and delicious. Bread, minced garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar are always a hit. Water glasses were always topped off and cocktails and wine were perfect. Love the ambiance and various places to sit (outdoors, garden room, bar, dining room, and now it appears there is a bar facing the kitchen. Consistently great.
