   Camden Spit & Larder never fails, their food, service and atmosphere are first class. Service is attentive, detailed, and friendly, and every single bite is amazing! Our go to place for an amazing meal and experience.

   In all ways Camden Spit and Larder was a stellar experience. We were a party of 4 senior ladies out for a monthly lunch date. The service staff were personable, helpful, and professional. The food was the highlight of our experience; prepared with careful attention to each ingredient. We started with mock cocktails that were refreshing and creative, and a starter of deviled eggs, a gastro and visual treat. Our entrees were the shepherd’s pie, crispy fish sandwich, and an asparagus soup with leeks and mushrooms, yum! The desserts of toffee pudding, pistachio orange tart, and affogatos were the food of the gods. Bravo to the chef and staff! All of this in a relaxed atmosphere of quiet elegance.

   Camden is one of my favorite go to restaurants. The food is delicious, friendly staff and great bartenders. This place has never disappointed.

   Great food, service and ambiance. All the food our party of 5 had was great. Stand outs were the Tuna Tartare, pork chop schnitzel and roasted chicken.

   Spit and Larder is a restaurant in Downtown Sacramento that serves extraordinary culinary delights. It sits nestled on the corner of Capitol and 6th, with convenient parking available one block up, across from the Golden 1 Center. Everything about Spit and Larder is what I like to experience when trying a restaurant for the first time. From the welcoming and knowledgeable staff to the elegant dining room, it is an experience that I will return to again. Cocktails were a French martini for myself and a Long Island for my husband. For our meal, we split a Caesar salad, and then had the salmon (perfectly cooked at medium) and halibut (which he really enjoyed) with a side of beef fat hash browns for our main course, followed by chocolate mousse with cappuccinos for our dessert Next time I'm going to try their NY steak. It looked really good too! Other things to note: They have what appears to be an extensive wine offering. They know how to make the perfect French Martini. They seem to excel at their seafood dishes. Honestly, I could have forgone the couscous that accompanied the salmon. The salmon on its own was superb! But the couscous,too lemony for my taste. Some lemon, more butter please. My husband liked the red sauce that accompanied his Halibut, however; he'd of liked to have the option of a lemon butter white sauce. We like lemon herb butter apparently. So yeah, I'm already planning on what I'm going to try for our next visit. It is that good!

   New York Steak had way too much fat and gristle. Marbling is expected and fat on the edge but every other bite is too much

   We ordered oysters, prime rib, and salmon. All of the dishes were fabulous. Beautiful presentation and del! Our server, Heather, did a great job. Thank you, Camden, for another superb meal and experience!!
