I wouldn’t rush back. Food was disappointing. The waiter didn’t have a clue really and we had to wave at him every time our glasses needed topping up.

Having noticed another Camillo Benso was closed, it is lucky for us not to know the original one is still running. My business client was pleased to eat fresh seafood. I was bit worrying because my client is originally from ample fresh seafood place. Tom Dixon chairs gave me familiar comfy feelings. I will go back!

Arrived at the restaurant @ 7.30. We were seated, the restaurant for a Wed evening was empty. It had 3 or 4 covers, including us. By the time we paid the bill we were the only ones in the venue. My friend and I decided to go for the veal Milanese, only to be told this was not available tonight. We were left a bit confused and disappointed that we weren’t told this information upon being seated. To start we ordered beef tartar and an aubergine dish in tomato sauce. Visually these dishes looked promising but both were under seasoned and just not tasty. Flavour lacked in both. For our mains we ended up ordering pasta. My friend didn’t mind her’s. My ricotta ravioli had a very strange taste to it, I did not enjoy this at all, it was also sitting in too much watery liquid. This resulted in me sending it back. We also ordered zucchini frites which did not make an entrance, only to ask 5 mins in where they were. The waiter forgot to place the order, we then had to wait another 8-10mins for them to appear. Again these were pretty disappointing. Our table was situated by the window, round the corner from the bar. As the other tables next to us left, the lack of waiter appearance was apparent, given that the restaurant was empty the staff attentiveness was poor. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

I was by myself and was welcomed warmly. ( That is not always the case in London restaurants). The wine list by the glass offers some very good choices. I had the artichoke- avocado salad and the veal chop Milanese. Portions were generous and the food tasty. Upon arrival, Parmesan cheese was placed on the table to enjoy with my glass of Prosecco, followed by a bread basket. I never felt rushed and will definitely go back to try one of the pasta dished.

Good food however the service was terrible. We were handed the drinks menu and no one came to take our order so we were left with water all evening. We were also handed a bread basket with no butter or cheese as accompaniment From a place like this we expected great service however didn't receive it.
