Our reservation was for 5:30 on Saturday night. We were the only people in the restaurant until about 6 when another couple showed up and then another couple came in when we were leaving. That was the first sign. We ordered a bottle of wine as we were celebrating our anniversary. The lovely lady who was our server took our order and came back about 10 min later with a fellow who opened and served the wine. I have a bad allergy to scents and I had to hold my breath and turn away from him due to the amount of cologne he was wearing. When our meal came, the sight of it was disappointing. My salmon was over cooked and very dry. Some of the vegetables appeared to have been frozen and freezer burned on the edges. The peel in my garlic mashed potatoes couldn't even be chewed. My husband ordered a steak and it was tasteless, tough and low grade beef. The mushrooms that came with it looked like they were freeze dried and didn't have enough time to soak! Desert - small piece of cheesecake with strawberry syrup drizzled over the top for $12! Apple Galette whose thinly sliced apples were chewy. I've had a better apple danish from Sobey's! A very expensive meal that was terrible. I have had better meals at a restaurant like Denny's or Smitty's! Terrible anniversary celebration.

Excellent service, great breakfast. I had the smashed avocado toast with a side of poached eggs and smoked salmon one day and then a full breakfast the next day. They were both fresh, tasty and good value.

The avocado toast was great. I added smoked salmon and the portion was generous. Nice touch to have a carafe of coffee on table and the jug of cream instead of small containers of milk/cream. My fellow diners also enjoyed their meal. It’s a nice bright space. We did have to come earlier than we intended because they stop serving by 11. It is more of a breakfast place than brunch.

The service was good and the waiter was friendly. The food was good and value was fair. The only other complaint was the restaurant wasn’t very busy but we waited a long time to receive our food. Ambience was great. I would go again.

The highlight was the server who was attentive and very personable. The food took a long time-45 minutes or more for risotto that was overpriced and just okay.The restaurant was not at all busy so the delay in receiving the food was not easily explained.

To see only 6 entrees and no appetizers on the menu was really disappointing. Service was absolutely fantastic.
