Very nice restaurant and location. It was our first time there and it was for our Anniversary. We thought we’d try something new and it looked romantic. It was! We had a nice table along the window. Service was good although the food was slow to come out. We weren’t in a hurry, and expected that the food would come in phases, but it was a little slower between courses than we hoped. We love good food but we don’t normally don’t venture too far in terms of exotic dishes. With that, the menu forced us to explore food outside of the type of food we would normally order. My wife however was able to find some things on the ‘safer side’ (beet salad and filet) and we learned that we are more traditional foodie types. Her beet salad was amazing, as was the filet. I ordered a pear salad that was just OK in my opinion and the salmon, which came recommended by our server. It was good but not something I would crave or order again. Next time we go back it will likely be to sit at the bar, have some drinks and share the beet salad and filet. ;) Overall it was nice but I guess we prefer a little more of a traditional menu.

I was very disappointed by our brunch experience on Dec. 1st. I have visited Canoe many times, but the eggs were not good yesterday. I was brought another serving of eggs that were vastly overcooked- scrambled eggs were brown and awful. Just a big disappointment- How hard is it to cook an egg? Ironically, I was planning to use a gift certificate my friends gave me for my birthday because they know how much I usually enjoy Canoe. The manager on duty scurried over and I felt that I then needed to justify my feelings on my eggs, which made me feel even more let down. It will be a long time if I ever go back for brunch. Atlanta has many good places where they know how to cook eggs, including Waffle House, the OK Cafe, Haven, Brookwood Grill, etc. The scones were good, but eggs should not be a risky order. A sad end to a beautiful Thanksgiving with my husband :(

Celebrated our 16th anniversary at Canoe with great anticipation. Overall, the experience was superb. The only caveat was the air conditioning. It was extremely cold, despite it only being 33 degrees outside. I had to enjoy dinner with my fur on. Despite that, it was great!

My brother and I took my mom there for her birthday. She really enjoyed it, especially the "ROO".....it was surprisingly good. I did have to send my Red Snapper Back because it was too tough but was replace with the cod I ordered super fast. Mom at 2 Lemon Drops she's not a big drinker but she loved them. Brother and I had Old Fashions W/ Makers Mark....over all experience was delightful :)

The noise level was too much to carry on a conversation. Canoe is very busy, hustling and bustling especially around 7-7:30pm. If you want a quiet dinner evening do not come to Canoe. In comparison to other restaurants in ATL, Canoe is not on my to come back list.
