Heritage and innovation merge with menu selections such as Santa Rosa Barbacoa and Mexico City Enchiladas for lunch, and Carne Asada and Pollo Mole Poblano for dinner. Our bar features a wide variety of beers, wines, cocktails, and fresh margaritas and guests can sample one of more than 50 fine-aged, authentic tequilas.

As the only restaurant located along the canal-front in The Venetian and The Palazzo, Cañonita offers guests a unique opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Grand Canal, with waterfront views of the resort's famous singing gondoliers. We had a wonderful meal at Canonita in The Venetian. I am celiac and was able to enjoy a delicious and safe meal. I had chips with salsa and guacamole to start with. The chips were corn and confirmed to be safe for celiacs. I really enjoyed the salsa. It was smoky and a little spicy. I ordered grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas for my main course. The waiter said that the head chef would be walking my meal through the kitchen to ensure it was safe. The chef even brought my meal to the table. It was some of the freshest and tastiest fish I have ever eaten. My husband (not celiac) had the chicken mole. He loves mole and said it was some of the best he’s ever eaten. We both highly recommend this restaurant.

Service was excellent. All the food was prepared well and flavorful. Awesome view on the canal but the noise levels can be a bit much as sound carries in the enclosed building.

Food was excellent! We sat next to the Gondolas with their guides singing. The waitress we had was probably the best waitress we have ever had and we are in our 60’s. Very friendly and knowledgeable!

Just was not good at all. The food was way to oniony and no Mexican flavors (we are from Texas), tortillas and fish tacos were dry, beans and rice were flavorless, and the Margaritas were horrible had to add my water to make them Drinkable.. Service and salsa was good, location to the Sphere was good (reason we booked). Don’t waste your money on this place. Just bad.
