   It was restaurant week. Even though there are signs for public parking in front it is only for valet which I found out after having maneuvering my car into the tight spot. Parking lot around corner past the restaurant. Love the decor. I asked if something could be left out of one of the cocktails and the bartender said no I ordered wine. Then twice came back to say it could be done. I stuck with the wine since I lost confidence. Bar was backed up and took forever to get my dinner companion’s non alcoholic drink. Server was sweet, nice and helpful. I had to ask twice for water refill before it actually happened…after the entree was almost done. The water was delivered and only then was I asked if I wanted more wine. Since the Kitchen was backed up as well, that drink offer would have been appreciated while we sat waiting for each course. Salmon was good although the green bean, red pepper mushroom side tasted as though it came from the freezer. The chocolate cake was decadent! Overall, I rate the experience as good, taking into consideration it was restaurant week.

   Mixed first experience at Cap City. Food was amazing. Our server was very friendly but everything came out so slow. It took 20 minutes to get our soup and salad and 15 minutes at one point to get a refill on our drinks.

   Thank you, Bren and Brad (mgr) for making our evening easy and enjoyable! The reception was also very welcoming! Food is always great. Love this place!

   I used to enjoy Cap City when I was a student at OSU. Was surprised to see it show up in Cincy after so many years. Our server was attentive but the food was a little lack luster. The rice in my dish was very, very dry & hard - basically inedible. The rest of the meal was good enough. Be warned that there’s no free parking - we paid $7 to park in the lot next door.

   There isn’t anything unique about the menu but the food and service were very good, even on a very busy Saturday night. The only drawback to this location is parking. All surface lots and garages adjacent to the restaurant were full. Had to park 4-5 blocks away.

    We took our UC Bearcat to Cap City for his birthday and; from the minute we stepped in until we left after our meal, he was celebrated and treated like royalty. The hostess and server were wonderful, and the food was (as always) outstanding. I recommend Cap City for a casual evening out or a special occasion!
