   We had show tickets at the SAFE Center for 7:30 so made a 6pm reservation. That all worked out well. The place is small and has the maximum number of seats you could put in that space. I could have literally joined in 3 other conversations as everyone had to talk very loudly to be heard by people at their own tables. The staff were on their toes and were doing a great job handling the crowd. The food was fine, I had the walnut pasta salad with the grilled chicken and my friend had the sesame garlic chicken bowl. Both came with healthy portions. We split a half carafe of wine which is always a gamble to know you are actually getting the brand listed as you never see the bottle, but it to was good wine. The odd thing was they brought the check, and it was $50.56 with the 10% show tix discount. We both threw are credit cards on there and asked if he could split it. He said sure and brought back the slips to sign and each one was for $29 and some change and nothing was itemized. We added tips and left without asking what the price difference was for. The show we were seeing was Mean Girls, and we didn't want to be remembered that way. :-)

   The food, cocktails, and service were outstanding!!! The noise level was a bit jarring. I think the next time we come, weather permitting, we'll sit outside.

   Service is as outstanding as! Food was good but not great. I had their Irish Stew and it tasted like something was missing in flavor.

   Consistently great food and great service. If you’re looking for a nice meal that meets the needs of meat eaters and vegetarians and places you walking distance to downtown events, this is your place. Definitely order the fried oyster mushroom appetizer. Burgers and sandwiches are great as is the vegan jambalaya- delicious!

   Upon arrival, the restaurant was a little chilly. Food was good although the sourdough toast, not sure if it was toasted, and I had to apply the butter, which was very hard to spread on the bread. All in all definitely be back for weekend brunch eggs Benedict are the best.

   I ordered the Vegan Jambalaya. Just the right amount of spice. I miss the vegan andouille links that were previously used in the dish, but the flavor is still there. We did have to seek out a Server for water refills and to order dessert, even though the restaurant was not half filled, but the Server otherwise attentive. Unfortunately, because of all the hard surfaces, the restaurant is very loud. The scraping of the metal chairs against the concrete floor is jarring. Perhaps silicone tips on the bottom of the chairs would reduce that, somewhat. But, everyone at my table were more than satisfied with their food choices.

   The waitperson didn’t listen to my order, although I told him several times what I wanted. Not complicated. Incorrect food arrived. Had to wait an extremely long time for the replacement. If there was champagne in my mimosa it was well hidden. I didn’t want orange juice. I wanted a mimosa. I hadn’t eaten here in a while. The food has really gone down hill. Too bad.

    Second time eating here and had to eat outside and it was a bit cold but our waiter did everything within his power to get the warmers going. The Monte cristo was delicious and when we return next year to the Sacramento area, we are definitely coming back!
