   The hostess made an unnecessary comment about us arriving 10 minutes early for our reservation, which caught me off guard. I was surprised she didn’t suggest we grab a drink at the bar or wait there, as I’ve done multiple times before. Instead, she seemed bothered by our early arrival, despite the restaurant being nearly empty—I counted nine open tables on the way to ours. This kind of response isn’t necessary at a fine establishment that I frequent regularly, especially as a neighbor who lives just across the way.

   I enjoyed the night very much and the views from Cara Cara are amazing. The food was on another level and the service was top notch.

   My husband and I, together 16 years decided to treat ourselves to a Valentines dinner last night at Cara Cara. Dressed up, took a ride share downtown (another additional cost) but we were happy to splurge, thinking we would have a nice dinner to enjoy. It was a prefixed menu and to put it bluntly nothing was good food wise. NOTHING. Salty, overly cooked, spicy (but in strange ways). I hate to say it. I wouldn't even consider my husband and I picky eaters. Things were just bad. Yes the restaurant is beautiful. However, for the price we paid, the entire experience left us feeling tricked out of the money we paid. To hit things home, the couple dinning next to us too thought things were pretty awful. We will not be returning.

   In this app, when a purchased the Valentines day special it was $120 per person, so at the checkout it came $240 total, in the bottom it said TAXES AND OTHER FEES are included in the price, but at end when the bill came, there WAS added taxes there WAS some supercharge wellness fees and everything. It was very disappointing knowing you have to pay some amount and getting prepared then suddenly extra $100+

   Great drinks, amazing views at sunset of the city, solid food, friendly service. Will definitely be back.

   Food was very good. Views were lovely. Drinks cost as much as my ENTREE. A $23-$28 cocktail is a bit much when my dinner was $25. No precious metals in my cocktail to make them so expensive and nothing special about them. Mixology is on par with other restaurants so not sure what we were paying for. Restaurant also slips in the fact that the patron pays 5% for the service’ health insurance. Do I then get to write off their health insurance? Clearly I’m being upcharged already- so that fact leaves an additional bad taste in my mouth. The owner is writing off their workers health insurance but I’M footing the bill? That’s not right. Take responsibility and pay your own staff.
