   A beautiful place, friendly and attentive service. The food was very special and quite delicious. Good wines to choose from. Been there 10 years ago and it was just as delicious as the first visit.

   We arrived at the venue, eager and excited for our reservation, only to be met with unexpected and frustrating news—the place was fully booked for an event. Confused, we exchanged glances, certain there had to be some kind of mistake. After all, we had gone through the proper process, secured our reservation, and received confirmation. How could they claim it was unavailable? As we tried to process the situation, a security officer standing nearby reached for his radio. The static crackled before a voice, presumably from someone in charge, came through. The conversation was brief but telling. “What about the reservation?” the voice on the other end inquired, clearly confused. Then came the response—the one that left us utterly baffled. The staff member standing before us, without hesitation, replied, “I don’t know how they hacked the system and made the reservation.” Hack the system? Did we hear that right? For a moment, we just stood there, dumbfounded. How could she possibly believe that we had done something so absurd? We had simply followed the standard booking process, just like any other customer. There was no trickery involved, no underhanded tactics—just a normal reservation, made through their own system, in the exact way it was intended to be used. And yet, here we were, being accused—however indirectly—of somehow manipulating their system to secure our spot. The sheer absurdity of the accusation made it almost laughable. Was their system so fragile that a standard booking could be mistaken for a hack? Or was this just an excuse to cover up some internal mishap on their part? We weren’t sure whether to be angry or amused, but one thing was clear: something wasn’t right.

   I wish we could tell you about our experience. However, we never had one. Two hours after making our first reservation, we got a call canceling it because of the weather. (It was sunny at that point although rainy earlier.) They invited us to return another night. We made another reservation two days later only to receive a call a half hour later saying they were not open that night. Really? Why did they accept the reservation?? It looked like a nice place, but they must not want business badly. We won't be trying again as we like a bit more certainty in our plans. (We had rented a car both days to get to the restaurant.) In the future, we'll choose from other excellent restaurants around Basseterre.

   This was our favorite spot on the island! They gave us free champagne and free dessert for our honeymoon. Let us walk around on the beautiful pier with a drink before our dinner. Allergy friendly as well. We loved it!

    Beautiful setting and wonderful food. The bread was amazing and the snapper dish was well prepared with perfectly steamed fresh vegetables.
