Under the direction of Chef Greg Murphy, the Carriage House Dining Room is known island-wide for its fine classic American cuisine. Local seafood selections such as Carriage House whitefish from Lake Superior and prime steaks from a Detroit family butcher are paired with fresh salads, soups and desserts topped with signature Iroquois Hot Fudge.

Directly overlooking the Straits of Mackinac, guests enjoy flawless service in our glass-enclosed dining room or on one of our breezy outdoor waterfront verandas. The restaurant features an extensive wine list, full bar and nightly entertainment at the piano bar.

    Really delicious food, lovely quiet beautiful surroundings. The China and table settings were beautiful as well. Servers were timely and unfailingly polite. Delicious desserts-peanut butter pie, zabglione with fruit, orange almond dessert all fresh, unusual and delicious. Whitefish sandwich amazing and brunch lobster Benedict terrific. What a lovely respite from the craziness in town.

    Food of high quality and was good. One salad was much smaller than the others at the table. Also, waitress seemed to show favoritism to some members of party over others.

    Mikayla guided us through a fantastic evening of dining at the Carriage House. From the appetizer special of lobster and artichoke dip with toast points to the homemade lemon meringue it was an amazing experience.

    Not very great service, even though we were paying good money for seafood it was either from a can or just tasted bland (and I’m talking as someone who orders seafood all the time and has had it in France.) service was like when you just broke up with you’re ex and they check on you every 2 weeks and maybe bring you the food that you ordered. Couldn’t even get my drink that I ordered when the waiter first came to ask. The view from outside was beautiful since you’re right on the water so it makes up for eating oysters that had been shucked an hour before you got there. Overall I’m fairly disappointed with how my experience was, but I’m sure they just weren’t on their A -Game that night.
