   This restaurant serves a bog standard,old school Italian menu well executed with pasta that is mostly home made. We enjoyed the “experience“ for New Year’s. Frankly, the food ( very solid but not inspiring) was a bit pricey, but our server from El Salvador was wonderfully attentive and very charming. Four to 4 1/2 stars.

   Enjoyed a very nice early NYE dinner. Caruso’s had a fixed price menu that included great options. Our server Jordan welcomed us with glasses of sparkling wine and provided great recommendations. Glad we finally made it there. Will definitely return

   Caruso’s Grocery is a delightful, convivial restaurant with attentive service and well prepared dishes. Our waiter was friendly with great recommendations on the specials. We ordered the special, veal parmigiana, and it was exceptional! Wish we lived nearby so we could come often.

   Pasta was overdone. Noise level is very high. Service was good. Just not worth the travel /uber costs from NW part of DC.

   Food was delicious! I got the cavatelli and my friend for the meatballs. I loved that the service f sizes weren’t overwhelming. Our server was pretty good and gave good recommendations. Be aware the gps gives directions to the front of the Roost. You will have to go around the block for Caruso’s entrance or walk through to another entrance which we would not have found unless we asked someone else working there. That was kind of confusing but all in all it was nice birthday experience.
