Cruzar el portón de herrería de la entrada principal es retroceder en el tiempo. La bellísima fachada de estilo colonial hace a Casa Mission una sobreviviente de la época de gloria de la Península de Yucatán, durante cual la industria henequenera era la base económica.

Casa Mission ofrece al visitante una atmósfera que nos traslada por la historia a un magnifico restaurante de comida mexicana y mariscos.

En esta impresionante hacienda se entrelazan pasado y presente, fue sitio de descanso de gobernantes y aristócratas y es lugar de reunión del Cozumel de hoy. Es un rincón bello y único, rodeado de jardines y fuentes, enmarcado por exóticas aves y árboles centenarios.
Hoy en día, la propiedad pertenece a la familia Miranda Morales, quienes acondicionaron en los amplios corredores con altos techos de Casa Mission un comedor. Compartiendo con los visitantes los olores y sabores de un hogar mexicano.

El lugar es muy agradable, buenos precios, comida con muy buen sazón. El servicio es muy lento, pero, es un lugar para ir a disfrutar con calma, los jardines muy bonitos.

We come to Cozumel every year. This is a must visit when we go! Absolutely love the food, service and ambiance. Seems like a nice family owned restaurant. Their Mexican food and seafood are amazing. We will be back for more!

When in Cozumel, we always dine at Casa Mission! The food is consistently fresh and delicious and the service is excellent. We love the beautiful garden view!

We have been here every year we come, our meals were nothing like they used to be. We were disappointed for the first time. Ambience is always beautiful.

We’ve been coming for years and look forward to it being our best night out on the island. We’ve been post covid but this year was very different. Service was lacking. Table side services have dropped off. We felt rushed and also ignored. All with much higher prices. I’m hoping it was an off night. We will try again on our next trip. There are so many outstanding eating establishments on the island it’s hard to choose just a few for each visit.

Americans beware! The menu lists prices in MXN$ and US$ but at a 22x exchange rate. For example a bottle of wine was listed as $660MXN and $30US. When I asked for the bill in $US, I was told that was only to be paid in cash. This is a bait-and-switch without disclosure that the $US price was only for cash. The prevailing exchange rate when I visited the restaurant was $16-17MXN per US$1, so they provide a nearly 30% incentive for the receipt of cash US dollars. The food is fresh and bland. The lime soup included with all meals is tasteless dishwater. The place is large and crowded and therefore service is slow and desultory. We got only chips and salsa for the first 50 minutes of our visit to the restaurant. Bottom line - you will eat OK, not great, but be on your toes.
