   Great whisky selection and tasty cocktails. Nice food and atmosphere. I would highly recommend oysters and prawns - we enjoyed it

   We went for Valentine’s Day and did the valentines tasting menu: $120 pp. The food and service was amazing, but smaller portions and not as much food as we would’ve thought for the price. Overall was a very nice evening. The cocktails were delicious as well!

   Our night started off with great expectations. I heard about the restaurant and wanted to see if the list of scotches was as long and varied as promised. It was more than accurate. Although the food and scotch was impeccable it was the service that was the star. We were greeted by Halley (hostess) and she was delightful: knowledgeable about what to expect, engaging and extremely helpful. Our valet was funny, fast and worked hard for his tip. The musician who sang beautifully all night was talented, subtle and soothing as we continued to have conversations while she sang. Overall, great night but it was the collective service that we received that really positively impacted our night

   Normally I’ve loved it here but my last was very embarrassing.My friends and I were invited to a private events on the rooftop so I made reservations early leaving a credit card to reserve.Upon getting there we tried to check in with a host who seemed confused even asking if reso was under a different name.Arguing I was not reserved.I said I booked through open table.She was like oh ya we don’t get those resos.We wanted there a few min waiting for her to see if we could get a table.She told us us I’ll have to see if there’s any seats available since you don’t have a reso.It was dead. I then complained to staff that cask should not have resos linked to open table because if not checked into restaurant customer gets dinged and can’t book if not resolved They told us upper management knows.Felt very unwelcomed at host stand when acted like we did not belong there.Usually manager greets or comes around.No manager at all. This was not a good introduction for my friends. I’m surprised because there is a lot of options for swanky upscale lounges They need to up their game

   The soba noodle salad was fantastic. Everything else was really good, but nothing that was remarkable. Good cocktails as well. The service was outstanding though. Attention to detail, friendliness, ability to make recommendations, and thoughtful without being in our space too much.

   I love the look and feel of the room at Cask. The service is top notch - Sara attended to us very well and explained the menu and items with lots of enthusiasm! I really enjoyed the cocktails here as they were well balanced and deliciously dangerous to drink! The food is also very well paired with the drinks offered and they are generous portions. I would highly recommend this elevated lounge/bar! Gem in Richmond that’s for sure!
