                                                                                It took 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated and another 20 minutes to order our food. And the staffs clearly didn’t care. Also the waiter up charged on all of our drinks without asking.

                                                                                I was very disappointed in our last experience at this restaurant. Our lunch started out great when we were outside with a beautiful view but quickly went downhill with the service. Our server didn't disclose the items on the menu that weren't available so it was to our surprise when we had waited 30 minutes to get our order taken but the items we wanted were not even available. The appetizer was dropped off and then we didn't see our server for the rest of our meal. Our entree was dropped off by another server. We were out of water and our cocktails but our server never came to check on our table so we had to flag down a different server to get our beverages refilled. The food was delicious but the service ruined our experience. For a nice restaurant like this, it didn't meet our expectations for our anniversary.

                                                                                Our waiter was ok.. watching other servers, he could learn a few things. I love the castaways, but was shocked to discover on a limited menu, by 12:30 they were out of stuff and the restaurant had been opened for less than 2 hours.. I thought it was weird.. poor planning on mgt side.

                                                                                The food for 200 per person was not good at all as compare to regular menu we love but drinks and service are amazing that’s the reason we come back and this year we like that we can dance!

                                                                                Came for NYE. We got seated by the patio and the view was great despite a slight fog. Our server Jonah was amazing and really accommodating. Most of the food was great, and the wine pairing deal was good. Couple of issues: beef wellington entree was slightly dry; and for some reason, the kitchen would send out plates before we even finished a course. We had to send back our entrees 3 times because we haven't finished our plates yet. Don't think the meal was worth the price, but with NYE, we expected nothing less. Overall, a great time! Thanks Castaway!

                                                                                $170 NY eve menu was disappointing. Either too salty or too sweet. I don’t think it’s worth $170 without even one beverage included. Service is good though. It was New Year’s Eve so very loud and noisy. My husband put on ear plugs.

However the food was not amazing, the regular menu has way better options. For the amount of food you get the pricing is quite ridiculous. However, the atmosphere was energetic and fun.

                                                                                We went for New Year Eve celebration and had a great time. The food was really good. The service and the environment. All the staff was very pleasant and courteous. If you’ve never been to Castaways, the view from a top is amazing. You can see the entire San Fernando valley from up there. Definitely a place to go for a romantic dinner or special event with the family.

                                                                                Food was good, but this was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. We paid for a wine pairing with the pre fixed dinner. We had to ask for water 3 times. The wine pairings weren’t brought out with the actual food pairings..we had to ask for it to be done correctly twice. The first two corses came out before we even got a glass of wine. Then no one brought us silverware. It was just so disappointing for such an expensive New Year’s Eve dinner.
