We arrived earlier than anticipated and we were seated quickly. It took a while for our server to come to our table and when he did, he spoke very low - it was difficult to hear him. He asked us if we wanted water, filled out glasses, then left without taking our drink order. Again, it took a while before he returned to take our order. We ordered the calamari, steak Oscar, and prime rib. The calamari smelled fishy and had a rubbery texture. The hollandaise sauce on the steak seemed like it had been left under the heat lamp as it was browned on top. The prime rib was very grisly. We hadn't eaten since the morning in anticipation of the amazing meal we expected to have because we were celebrating our anniversary (which was never acknowledged and was noted when the reservation was made) The one thing that was amazing was the Irish Creme Brule we split for dessert. Definitely not the meal or service that we expected for a $218 meal.

I ordered the oysters and they were very good so it was a good start however the prime rib was almost broiled and super chewy and did seem to be a medium rare. I have never had prime rib be so chewy. They added a gravy over it and I think it cooked it even more. There was hardly any flavour. Hardly ever do I add salt to my food when out at a restaurant but I had to at this dinner cause there was no flavour. My friend ordered the chicken and her meal didn't look that great either. It almost looked like the chicken was overcooked and dry. I was very disappointed in my meal especially for the price. If places are going to charge so much for their meals than it should be cook and taste much better. I used to go to the Royal Oak location and I found their food to be much better. I don't plan on returning to this resturant anytime soon for $125 meal with tip just for myself it was extremely disappointing, I regret not saying something during our meal I was just so hungry and didn't want to make a scene in front of my friend.

We went there for our 36 wedding anniversary. The hostess was wonderful at seating us and our waiter was hilarious telling us jokes. I had the ribeye steak and it was cooked to perfection. My wife had the leg of lamb and it was also cooked to perfection. We enjoyed the twice baked mashed potatoes, fully loaded with sour cream, chives, and bacon bits. We also enjoyed their Caesar. For dessert, we shared the homemade chocolate brownie with marshmallow topping. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant was recommended as we were keen to try your Alberta beef you rave about. Guess my teeth aren’t sharp enough or should have ordered cooked to medium? The wine was excellent. Sorry, would not recommend. Should have gone to Hys or Modern

We were very disappointed in the quality of the food. It was salty with no other discernible spices. Everything was "good", but that's about it.

Would be good to know when they ask do you want sides added, the price… charged $10 for a small bowl of mushrooms and did not tell us when I asked about garlic bread (told the cheesy bread was the best so we added) but did not say they bring a complimentary bowl of bread out first so we ended up with a bowl of bread PLUS the cheesy bread we ordered and paid an extra $10 for
