   Food and value were good as usual on a Wednesday. Service was lacking. It took 15 mins to get water or be greeted after sitting. I had put a note on the reservation that we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary but that wasn’t mentioned at all. It was a different experience than the first time we had been there, so a good dinner when we were hoping for a great one.

   Our server Kim was fantastic. They were friendly, very knowledgeable about the menu and efficient. We ordered the 36 oz porterhouse to share. For $130 we had two sides and an abundance of steak. We brought home leftovers of everything.

   New server - she was very attentive- Kim Food- 3.5 hours dining experience Lamb over cooked - manager removed it from bill Seafood tower - value was not there $170 Best thing on the tower was smoked salmon Cheese toast was cheese bread not great Caesar salad - not great bought croutons with a few pieces of some sort of pork Steaks were well cooked and sauces very tasty Cocktails were amazing - great job For $1,000.00 for four just did not hit the mark tonight - if you want to be the best steakhouse in Calgary then you need to be perfect every night Large table of 15 slowed down service, perhaps you need not take these reservations or have them on a set menu Plan on returning soon and will continue to promote your restaurant - but you need to be better!

   Absolutely 5* all around!!! Best steak I’ve ever had….porterhouse with the cowboy steak butter. Yum!!! You can’t find service like that anymore! I mean they iron the table cloths!! Ask for the meat tray demonstration (free), loved that too. Ambiance, style, heated toilet seats that do much more, and even service in the bathroom! What an amazing night. Blown away!

    Note that this is an unusual experience for Chairman’s. Everything was as great as expected up until it took about 45 minutes to get our main dish. We ordered our appies at the same time as our main (smoked ribeye with potato rosti & mac & cheese). The appies came out 15 minutes after ordering, the main came out 45 minutes after the appies. It was unusual from our experiences that it would take this long, we also found it strange that it was not acknowledged by our server or any staff that attended our table. We held hope that it could just be a busy Friday. It felt as though our table was being avoided (water not refilled, beer not offered to be refilled), despite the server being in the area a lot. When the food arrived, we were very disappointed. The steak was overcooked, cut into very thick pieces & more fatty than our previous experiences. The mac & cheese had a thick layer of grease around the sides of the bowl, and tasted very gritty. The potato rosti was cold & the cheese was hard. Each dish felt like a struggle to chew, which is not normal for any of the dishes from our previous experiences. We had about 3 bites from each dish before we were done. When our server checked in, we let him know we felt our steak was overcooked. He said he could get it refired, we declined, at this point we had been there for nearly 1.5 hours. He sent the manager over where we explained our disappointment with all of the dishes. They did refund the steak which we felt guilty for, we weren’t looking for a refund & would have paid. We expect a much higher quality food experience from Chairman’s though and felt upset we couldn’t seem to save that aspect of the experience. We will be back for sure, the manager saved the entire experience by being sincerely apologetic so we will give it another chance based on that! It’s a special place to us so we hope this was just a one off.
