We waiting 2 hours for edamame. :( She warned us that the kitchen was 30 minutes behind but again, 2 hours just for edamame. Never checked on us for water or drinks. It wasn’t that busy, as far as number of tables.

When we were sat the server and hostess informed us that the kitchen was behind so food was going to be a wait. My friend said that last time she was there they said the same thing. It took about an hour for the food to come. The food was great! But because we had to wait for the food it was weird that they didn’t keep our drinks full. Everyone seemed really overwhelmed and I felt bad being an additional burden on them.

We had a reservation for 6pm and were seated immediately upon arrival at about 5:55. We ordered drinks and our server did an excellent job of explaining dishes to us. We ordered a few apps which took about 30 minutes to come out. Our entrees didn’t come out until approximately 7:50pm. This really is unacceptable in my opinion. The restaurant was not full, every table was not seated. We were told the kitchen was backed up and we have no problem waiting for food. But waiting almost two hours is excessive. We were given 20% off our bill and a round of drinks at no cost. It will be a while before we would consider going back for the price and the wait.

Menu has changed. Favorite items taken off the menu. Now KFC wings are 4 for $15 when previously it was 6 wings for $15. Items ordered tasted good, but disappointed in changes

The place was nice, but empty there was no reason to wait almost an hour for glass noodles and one small chicken plate. The table next to ours got their food within 20 minutes. The waitress was nice about it, but overall over priced for that slow of a service.

Another great meal at Char’d! If you are dining here, do not sleep on the dumplings. They are to die for! I went for the spicy squid and pork this time. Spicy, savory, delicious. I also tried the yuzu beez specialty cocktail and really enjoyed it! Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals. The service this visit was a little off. The food came out quickly. But our server was not very present as you would normally expect. Could be an off night. One other thing to note. We had a party of 6. It is not unusual to see a gratuity added for a party our size, and it was. But what was unusual was it was listed on the bill as a “service charge”. That was unusual to me so I asked about it and was advised that it was a gratuity. I wasn’t upset about it. But I would prefer to see it listed as a gratuity. Regardless, we will be back for the amazing food!
