   The food was amazing but unfortunately our server Bill was not. He was rude and condescending and acted as though we didn't belong at Charley's. We also noticed we weren't getting the same attention or level of service as his other tables. We were very disappointed with the service and how we were treated.

   Having tried the "other" go too steak houses in Tampa we wanted to give this a try. First off if you don't valet there is self parking but the out is very dark as is the wooden boardwalk style walkway. The restaurant screams elegant as you hit the heavy glass sculpture doors. The smaller lobby waiting area boasts the offerings of fresh meats and seafood and a large wine cooler. Check in was simple and after a few minutes we were lead through and array of spectated dining areas and wound up far from the front in what I would call the last outpost. Our table was directly adjacent to the server station with the water refills and the bus staff standing through the whole meal, so this was my view. The area we sat in was ultra noisy with loud music blaring in the background. I know it's the holiday season but I'd like a little chatter of tables not mall shopping music blaring. Our server was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the drinks and food. The formal presentation of the meats and huge lobster tail felt somewhat like a car dealership up sale with the more expensive cuts proudly displayed. We moved away from any appetizers as all looked good but we craved the empty stomach to enjoy the meats. The house salad with side of blue cheese was really good. Complimented with cheese bread. The service is no rush which is appreciated as your not eating your salad and the meal shows up. The steaks were done well and nice size portions and were cooked correctly. My porterhouse was done well but the crusting or seasoning was somewhat salty. Not a deal breaker but kind of off set the taste for me. The planked cauliflower was very good but served only warm and the asparagus was good but nothing overly special. We opted out of any dessert choices as we hardly finished the steaks and sides. We again felt like everything was a sales pitch to order one more thing. All in all a good experience and we would come back again and try other offerings.

   Our server Rich took great care of us! It was my son’s birthday and the meatballs brought out by the manager were so delicious! Great wine suggestion and the steak was seasoned perfectly.

   I'm a steak fan and this is one of the best steaks I have had in Florida. I highly recommend it for the food.

   Food is terrific. Bison rib eye is top notch. Service was good. They were busy. Not unusual. Prices went way up. 😊. Value is good. Still a great place for friends and family.

   We enjoyed a very memorable birthday dinner for my 15 year old son. From start to finish, the dinner was an experience, made extra special by attention to detail and comfort from our server Rich. Thank you!

   Really expected better. Service was slow (and non-existent once our entrees arrived). We ordered wine and a couple appetizers, but did not get our entree orders taken for almost an hour. We decided on the surf & turf for 2. It was brought out on 1 plate and the server asked if we were sharing the steak, to which he then went to get another plate. ??? Overall, steak was very salty - we ordered a side of the truffle butter and the pepper sauce - but didn’t care for either. The lobster had no taste and the drawn butter needed salt. By the time our server checked on us, we were just ready to leave. From all the reviews we’ve read, I guess our expectations were too high.

    Our waiter Matt made the experience exceptional. The quality and taste of the food was amazing which made overall experience SEVEN star. Best steak I ever had for a long time. I recommend Charley's Tampa, and I will be going there again to try different things.
