The restaurant accepted my reservation on a day they were actually closed. I arrived and the doors were shut. Everything on my reservation was accurate, they just didn’t update their time in the app. Totally unacceptable.

We had to go looking for a hostess. Eventually she came. Then she made us wait to get seated. The restaurant was almost empty. Once seated it took 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Our food was bland was at best mediocre which I get for a prix fixe but everything was cold. Like it had been sitting out all day. It was an expensive meal and throughly disappointing. You should be embarrassed,

What had once been a great DC restaurant has become mediocre and I understand why they are permanently closing. Have been to their new location in NYC at the Knickerbocker Hotel and it is a sorry excuse to its former location across the street on 42nd. Charlie Palmer is now serving poor hotel quality food versus his former gourmet standard.

Incredible delicious lunch, wish I could come back for dinner. The downside was they took a very long time to get our food out. Overall, not bad at all if you are not in a time crunch. By far the best dirty martini I’ve had on the East Coast.
