    We had a terrific New Year's Eve meal at Chart House last night. The food was outstanding, service very competent, and the setting the best in Sarasota. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals. A 3-course prix fixe meal on New Year's Eve for $69 was a great value, as well. The portions were quite large and the entrée selections were top-notch: e.g., twin lobster tails, steak, prime rib, all kinds of fish. My clam chowder was THE BEST -- rich, full of clams. The chocolate lava cake deer was similarly delicious. We will definitely continue going back to this Chart House, as we have for the last 15 years

    It was nice. Love the view. However, I thought the quality of food wasn't as good as we had had in the past. Lobster was tough, and I would love to have known about the salad bar option. I was also disappointed in the fact that you only had the "holiday menu" to pick from. Would like to have had other choices. Overall, it was not the experience we had in the past.

    Nye 3 course meal was not a great value. My steak was over cooked. Good service but not a great value. They also did not properly explain this $25 membership, perks card that they were giving us. Ended up charging us $25 without our consent. Not a great spot.

    A member of the party requested no stairs and the hostess took us to an area that was in front of a door that had staff coming in and out. We had requested a table with a view and there was plenty of them. The woman told us that there was no staff for those tables and yet people were being seated. To make matters worse the hostess took a bit of an attitude with us when i asked if this was the best she could do. We were moved to our desired view table and our waitress was excellent. I hope the hostess acquires a better attitude as she is not at all welcoming or helpful.

    The 2 women at the front desk could have been friendlier. They were more like guards. Waiter was great and meal was excellent. Enjoyed the appetizer : shrimp avocado & mango stack. Prime rib and garlic mash were very good. Also the mock tail Faus mojito was great. Waiter should have told we were celebrating a birthday.

    Our bartender was incredible. Amber helped make a tough situation perfect. We arrived for our 7pm reservation only to be told they had cancelled our reservation saying they had called 4 times I never received one call or message. Thankfully we were able to sit at the bar! Amber was great and we had delicious drinks and a great dinner.
