   Had a reservation at the window and was seated promptly. The table was in front of dew covered windows so we asked if we could move as it was not a full night. We were told the tables were reserved specifically. After being there over two hours neither table was sat. So we sat at the window but could not see out as the windows were all blurry, a big reason we came there was the nice view. The server was nice but everything was very slow. A couple things were missed. The food was good though. We’ve been at this restaurant multiple times over the years but things have sadly changed. Two tables around us had similar experiences.

   The service was terrible. We were there for 2.5 hours. Customer service was not a priority. Wait staff fighting with each other in front of customers. Very disappointing.

   We love Chart House Longboat Key. Always great food, reasonable pricing, outstanding water views. We've had one waiter a number of times over the years and he always remembers us. Tell them it's your birthday or anniversary and they will print a menu for you wishing you a happy event - by your name top center.

   From the hostess stand to everyone else the staff and service were great. He had the prime rib...excellent...I had sea bass...also fantastic. The salad bar is back and awesome...worth it. Thanks once again for a wonderful evening.

   We had been here many years ago. The restaurant still looks beautiful and the view is incredible. Service was good- staff is definitely very busy. One of the main items on the menu is a macadamia crusted mahi- they were out of macadamia nuts? Crab cake was sad- seemed like canned crab and lobster bisque was tasty but no chunks of lobster. Fish entrees, rice and veggies were delicious.

    The setting for the restaurant does not disappoint as it has beautiful water views, among the best in Sarasota. Unfortunately the food and service didn't deliver. No water service until after the order was taken (despite two requests). A glass of wine ordered delivered after appetizers arrived. Very basic plating for a restaurant at this price point including a very small piece of fish served. They recognized it was my wife's birthday with a special menu and then didn't ask to bring a candle or do anything for dessert. And a tired decor that needs a refresh - certainly relative to other restaurants of similar price points in the market. We have been to other Chart Houses and am sure they will get it right as the physical location and structure of the restaurant is difficult to replicate
