    Afternoon tea is quite simply an unforgettable experience here at Cheal’s. We offer a fabulous 2 course afternoon tea served daily. Each course is lovingly prepared by our in-house pastry team, using traditional ingredients. Choose from nine different teas, cocktails or a glass of prosecco or champagne, for a truly memorable occasion. Wednesday - Saturday: 12:30pm – 2:00pm £55 per person Please note that we require at least 48 hours' notice for this booking type. Bookings made with under 48 hours' notice may not be honoured.

    Lovely place Great waiter but there's just hardly any food, mainly on the main course. Taste was great. It lacked colour!

    The service and quality of food are outstanding. Although the restaurant was quiet at lunchtime there was a comfortable ambience. All the staff were able to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

    A superb evening celebrating a 50th birthday. We sampled the 6 course taster menu. The food was great and we loved the explanations by the serving staff at each course.

    We had the set lunch menu, with my husband and I both ordering different items. We both couldn’t fault anything, my husband said it was the best lamb dish he had ever had. Everything was perfect and the waiting staff were excellent. The bar downstairs had a party and looked like a great atmosphere but we couldn’t hear anything upstairs. Looked like a great place to hold a party. We will definitely be back.

    Another lovely meal in this beautifully appointed restaurant. The food was truly exceptional and the Espresso Martini soufflé was off the scale amazing! We really like Cheals as it’s great for a special occasion and this visit was as good as always. Our only slight gripe, and it is slight, is that some of the staff seem a bit under trained or a little out of their depth in what is a very high end setting. But that aside, and recognising we all started somewhere, 10/10!
