Chicano Taqueria began life as an underground pop up in Brunswick in late 2020. After a lot of hard work, sweat, tears and literally thousands of tacos we're proud to announce we have become a permanent fixture at 371 Brunswick Street in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

Our brand new dining room features an open kitchen and chefs table, so you can see where the tortillas are made. Also new to the menu is our range of sipping tequilas and cerveza (beer), the perfect accompaniment to tacos topped with our spicy house made hot sauce.

Great evening in Chicano Taqueria - all the food was delicious. Lovely staff - very apologetic as they were missing a few staff members who called in sick but we hardly noticed as they were still very attentive and we weren’t left waiting for anything. Would definitely return!

Made booking. Paid deposit. Booking confirmed. Then discovered restaurant was closed. Repeated messages from Open Table ‘confirming” the booking but it never happened. Especially given a deposit was requested and paid, this is totally unacceptable.

Feed me option ok but not generous... Tacos really good, service a bit slow, strong push on getting U to buy drinks... Ambiance ok, nice and clean place.
