   Good and service were good. Booth given way too small for 6 people. Luckily we only had 5 show up but was still tight

   Had my birthday dinner here. At 2pm, I scheduled my reservation for my 7pm and it had said "counter" which made me concerned as I didn't want my family and friends sitting at the bar. So I called in to verify my seating for the reservation. They told me I would be sitting on the patio that's heated and practically like indoors and very nice. I was excited to go. I arrived and found out I was given a 6 seat table and had 2 chairs moved to the small table to accommodate ally dinner guests. It was cramped and not well planned. Confused I asked why I wasnt getting the patio table I was promised and a law firm had bought out the patio that night. No call to let me know, and so we were already very hungry and just wanted to eat. So we all sat cramped, 8 people sitting at a 6 person table. We ordered our food, and it came out an 40 minutes later. My kids wanted medium steak and it came out rare. I ordered medium rare, but my steak came out medium. No biggie, I just switched some of my cut of meat with my kids. The meal finished and I felt something was off. I didn't receive any happy birthday from my server despite getting one from the host. No cake, no happy birthday from the server, nothing. I paid my bill and everyone pretended it was all good. Being bothered by this, I asked as we were walking out of the restaurant, I asked. "Was I supposed to get something for my birthday dinner? Like a dessert or something?" They said did you tell them it was your birthday? I said "yes, I told them during my call when I verified my seating for my reservation. Turns out no one told my server. I said "It's okay, forget it. I'm not going to make my family and friends wait for a slice of cake. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive and it was already too late. I don't think I'll be coming back here again. Everything had something wrong with it. I paid about $240 for subpar service and okay food.

   Overall the experience was wonderful , my steak was a little underdone and this time the peppercorn sauce was not up to par ! Ambience and service was good

   Chop is usually a favourite, but this time they dropped the ball a bit. Service was the main issue it took so long for us to get our food and drink orders and we had to remind the staff several times for several orders. esp drinks which we had no idea why those took forever. they were friendly and helpful but they really were painfully inattentive and slow. my order was good but several of my guests had issues with their food. undercooked veggies was a major problem. we did have a big group, so we forgive the issues. but also i feel a bit guilty inviting people out to have a less than usually stellar experience.

   Luca was are server he was very kind and very polite and very helpful with myself Sonia and my friends and he recommended the steak soup 🍲 and mentioned about the lunch special soup and sandwich combo. Are Server Luca was very delightful and very funny too and he made our day joyful and fun at chop steak house in Vaughan and this was are 3 third time at this location. Love the food and great service too and the ambience was very nice and cheerful.

   The restaurant is currently under renovations, but you would never know, as they do a great job at containing it. It is clean and the staff are efficient. They are professional but could read the table well and were able to adapt to our energy. The food, well, it's way better then other steak restaurants! Our party was 6 people and 5 ordered steaks, all different ways, no one was disappointed. I strongly recommend this venue for your nights out.

   I have always liked Chop for its non-complicated dishes, location, and ambience. While our overall experience was great, there are few issues that need to be addressed: -The signature mushroom truffle steak was too salty - a table needs to be wiped by a server in between meals (or at least before the desert is served) - it kind of went unnoticed when I brought it up - great Christmas secure outside of the restaurant and a beautiful tree inside!

    My prime rib was all fat and they brought me another one. That one was over cooked.
