   Where do I begin? From the moment I walked in I did not feel welcomed. From not being greeted to hearing everyone come in behind me being greeted and welcomed with opened arms. Was sat after checking in, took forever to receive my refresher drink (which I enjoyed), took forever to order as I did have questions about the menu. Noticed two server(s) because there were only two people working the floor, were not attentive enough to me. I had to look around every time I needed something and ask multiple times for things since no one came to check on me during my duration of dining. No one followed up when I received my food to ask if I needed anything and how things were. However, I did notice the servers being attentive to the nonblack tables. There was also a large group (which were black) who received service periodically. Unfortunately, the amazing food did not make up for the mediocre service that I received. I will not be returning. I heard great things about this place and although the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the service takes away from the experience.

   The server was knowledgeable and assisted with pairing food items with drinks. The appetizers and drinks were brought out very fast. Everything was served hot as expected. The food was delicious and tasted fresh.

   This is such a great place for both intimate date nights and special occasions with friends and family. We especially love that ChopnBlok is bringing fresh perspective to the Houston food scene and also that they have included vegetarian and vegan options. There’s really something for anyone to enjoy, and the ambience/decor is awesome.

   Amazing food! We had the Motherland with Beef and Buka. Both were outstanding. Servers and staff were extremely kind. Guaranteed we will go again.

   Everything wad amazing! The decor created a really relaxed, welcoming and unapologetically black ambiance. Our server was good. The food was amazing. I tried the golden, the suya and the dutch egg. I look forward to returning to try other dishes.

    ChopnBlok is AHHH-MAZING! Our experience began when we pulled into the parking lot to valet the vehicle. The attendants were so polite and attentive! Once we walked into the restaurant, the aroma, the sound of conversation, and the decor captured our full attention! We had a reservation (as recommended by the reviews) and walked over to check-in. Our heads were on a swivel trying to take everything in! As we were greeted, then seated .. we exhaled and thought! This is going to be a WONDERFUL experience! I am a frequent diner at ChopnBlok - @ The Post. However, my this was my guest's virgin CB experience! We soaked in the menu and decided what to order. We started with drinks and appetizers. Our waitress was oh, so pleasant! The drinks and appetizers (lil pies) came out lickety split)! We had barely taken the last bite of the appetizers when the entrees arrived! We were pleasantly surprised! The food (Motherland Bowls)was wonderful, as per usual!! We savored each and every bite! We finished our meal and sat talking, still admiring the decor. Other waitresses passed by and attended to our needs, taking plates and asking if we needed anything. Our dinner outing to CB was extremely enjoyable and will be repeated again SOOOOON!
