Originally opened in 1991 in the heart of Covent Garden, Christopher’s has established itself as one of London’s best American restaurants, featured in Condé Nast, GQ, Tatler & Harper's Bazaar to name but a few. Comprising of three spaces that recall the heady-glamour of the Modern American era, Christopher’s brings you a Martini Bar on the ground floor, a glamorous Restaurant on the first floor and an intimate Club Room on the lower ground floor for private events. Housed in a Grade II listed building with an interesting past of its own, including opening in 1870 as London’s first licensed casino, Christopher's offers an extensive all day dining menu of Modern American cuisine. Weekend Brunch is also a specialty where healthy options are on offer alongside indulgent brunch favourites, including our signature french toast.

The food is correct but a little expensive. The service wants to be funny but he is not.

The food was average, and reasonably priced for London. The French toast and chocolate is lovely as always but does have a slight odd taste to it. The service was OKAY, average and nothing special and the waitress simply took our order and brought the food out to us, so I’m not sure why they add a service charge on and it feels awkward to take it off, or you end up paying it for the sake it.

Food here was great atmosphere was good a little noisy but it is a Saturday so was expecting it. negative side was you pay 13.5% for service fee and I don’t feel that we experienced this. Took a while for order to be taken and then when I asked for a menu for the second time to order the chocolate French toast it seemed like it was an inconvenience and when I mentioned it being my partners birthday (WHICH I STATED IN NOTES WHEN BOOKING) and if they could do something on the plate etc again seemed like it was a problem to then have the waitress come over and ask who’s birthday it is when it was meant to be a surprise and cheerful but wasn’t, was hoping the waiting staff would come over but didn’t nothing like what you see on social media.. abit of a letdown and overly hyped but the food was good but I would say a tad overpriced would rate it 6/10 overall.. paid £120 in total for two pornstar martinis two Texas grill breakfasts one french toast and a bottle of still water. Overall left a little meh and gutted.

Went for Saturday brunch when it opened and for 11am the music choice was wrong and far too loud — I love house and dance music but not when I’m relaxing having breakfast. Decor felt a bit tired and simple things were missed, like no salt & pepper on table and not being asked if I wanted other condiments. Water is horrendously overpriced - get tap!

I had booked the restaurant for celebratory lunch after my son's Master's graduation on the day of the graduation. I had mentioned this in my booking before, but we did need to mention this again when we arrived. Would have been nice if a little fuss could have been made of my son. With regards to the food and service, this was very good. Staff were very attentive.

The egg Maryland was very good but, on the whole rather a small dish for the price. Whereas, the buttermilk chicken sandwich was very tasty and a good size.

The most unbelievable dark chocolate french toast I've ever had! Service was attentive and welcoming and prices were expected for central London (but happily would pay £20 for that french toast again!) - a must try for any keen bruncher!
