   If you're vegan or vegetarian, do not go here. They have one set tasting menu, and, even though online state they can do vegan and the staff say they make vegan versions all the time, it's not worth it at all. First, be prepared for at least 3 hours of meal time, with huge (one time over an hour) breaks between servings. The vegan dishes included: roast broccoli and tomatoes (which my dish still had pieces of parchment in from the cooking process. When I pointed it out, they took it back , "checked" to make sure nothing else was there, and gave me back the same dish with no explanations.), roast cauliflower and romesco sauce, asparagus over a few citrous slices, and citrus slices and pieces of pear for dessert. No creativity. No seasoning. Nothing worth $145 including tip. No offense, but I can roast tomatoes and broccoli at home, and not have parchment paper in the serving dish.

   These people where miserable. Literally complained about everything. And no there is not one tasting menu option. No creativinty When you have 10 restrictions like no cinnamon no this no that it becomes incredibly hard to cook for people like this Hence why you have no buisness getting a tasting menu in the first place order off the menu in the first place. Yeah including tip of 13 dollars after you complained the whole night. Your right you should have stayed home and made the food yourself.

   We had high hopes for Ciro after reading the positive experiences of others. Unfortunately, we found that while it was good in concept, its execution was lacking. As others have mentioned, the night’s special tasting menu is presented to you by the co-owner/manager on his phone. Reading a ten course tasting menu in the brief time he shares his phone (and do you really want to share someone else’s phone?) is not the start of a relaxing evening. (And once he’s shown you the menu, he disappears for the night, never checking in with you.) If you want to save resources by not printing each night’s menu, better to have a shared tablet that can be cleaned between guests or provide a QR code so I can pull up the menu on my own phone and peruse it at my leisure. Note that if you get the tasting menu, your meal will be synced with everyone else who has the same reservation time as your party does. When the restaurant is fully booked, this seemed to cause issues with service and pacing of courses. Our first four courses came out at a very leisurely rate, taking over an hour from our reservation time. For some reason, we were frequently one of the last parties served. In addition, parties which were still working on their previous course were served the next course even when we had finished the previous course. The servers didn’t appear to be assigned to particular tables which leads to the issue that when everyone is responsible, no one is responsible. There were also issues with some of the course not being plated properly (e.g., a couple courses were missing a component for one of us) or not being exactly as described on the menu. Also, if you’re going to expect your guests to spend more than 2 1/2 hours sitting for a meal, try to have more comfortable seating. Hard, narrow chairs (which seem to be a common trend these days) are not conducive to a long, relaxing dinner. If Chef wouldn’t be comfortable in the chairs, many of your guests aren’t either.

   We had a lovely dinner last night at Ciro. We booked an early dinner, before a show at the nearby Delaware Theatre Company. We ordered the 4-course, prix fix menu. The first course was a fabulous tuna tartare, the portion was generous and the seasoning refreshing. This was followed by a dumpling soup with a mushroom consommé. The combination of the delicate dumpling and the umami of the mushroom was perfect. The main course was a filet that was so tender it melted Dessert was fruit in a wonderful warm chocolate sauce. It was the first time our friends had eaten there and we all want to return soon

   We did the surf & turf dinner and it did not disappoint…dishes that included scallops & pork belly, ahi tuna & ox tail, lobster with truffles, filet mignon. All were well prepared and so delicious. The chocolate dessert ended our meal on an excellent high note. This was our first visit and we will be back!

   Always fun coming here! It’s upscale and peasant. Would highly recommend if you enjoy high end food and plenty of tasty wine. I will be back

   My wife and I went there for an early dinner on New Year's Eve and ordered the New Year's Eve tasting menu (1 each of the vegan and non-vegan). All courses were very good. Our server was terrific; friendly without being intrusive or annoying. It is a small place so the chairs are not the most comfortable, the tables are small and the setting is pretty utilitarian but that is fine with us. The bathroom was also abnormally dark. Maybe they were having an issue with their light fixtures. The benefit of the small size was that it was pleasantly quiet so we could converse with each other and the waiter without yelling or straining to hear. I recommend it. I thought the cost/benefit ratio was very favorable. I will go back.

    The tasting menu was top notch. Loved every course it was truly a great experience. The crab cake and the duck were amazing as was the soup and the dessert duo. We will be back soon.
