Great evening for our executive team. As a new restaurant from the McNellies group they’ve moved quickly to meet their known level of food and service.

Nice steakhouse, but not fantastic. Sorry I love Jenks and The McNellie group, but I’m not sure if/when I’ll go back. Service was outstanding but food was mediocre.

The food was good but not fantastic for the price. The salmon was super fishy and my daughter could not eat it. The brick chicken was a little dry, portion was small and the sauce was super salty. The asparagus was hard and not edible.

Underwhelming at best. Both steaks were subpar, my ribeye that the server called a “filet”showed came to the table grey! Frites seemed to have a considerable amount of freezer burn, and showed up cold. The salads were the best part of the meal, but I’m not going to a steak house for a salad. This is the second flop of a steakhouse by this group. Hope they turn it around.

We frequent various Mcnellie’s group restaurants, one of them being the Bull in the Alley and had high hopes for City Hall. When we heard a steak house was coming closer to us we were excited to get Bull in the Alley quality closer to home and it missed the mark. The ambience and eating experience was great, the flavor lacked. The steak was not very seasoned, if at all. The bone marrow was subpar, but no one does bone marrow better than Hemingway. Overall, we think there is potential but the food needs to improve significantly for the price you are paying walking in the door.

From the moment of walking through the door, everything was a pleasant surprise, with the exception of a less than conversable teenage hostess. Upon taking a seat at the bar before before taking our seats in the dining room, we were quickly greeted by the bartender and the manager. Both of these experiences were delightful and informative of the array of offerings. I’m looking over the cocktail list, we were both wanting something a little different than what was printed. The manager did a fantastic job of asking several questions to discover what flavor profiles we were seeking and thus resulted in being served a drink called “the last word”, and it truly was exactly what we needed to end our busy day and start a nice relaxing dining experience. Given our level of hunger and following the philosophy that one isn’t required to eat everything on one’s plate, we had a variety of appetizers. The soup of the day was a clam and crab chowder and I would rate it a 4.75 out of 5. The smoked bacon was a tad thick but the flavor was perfect, also a 4.75. Lastly, we had the shrimp cocktail with an extra side of horseradish. This was a solid 5. Next came the salad, we went with the frozen fork Caesar. The greens were crisp and cold which made the salad amazing, I generally prefer a lesser anchovy profile and this was a little strong for me but that’s personal preference. Nonetheless, I give it a 4.5. As for the main course, we both shared a small filet and I would rate it one of the best in the Tulsa area. It was seared perfectly and cooked to perfection in the middle of the cut. The flavor was wonderful and the texture was nothing less than perfect. We also had the Mushroom and Truffle Gemeli. My only complaint with this dish coincides with the hour in which we dined and that goes against a cardinal rule of dining late. The dish was slightly undercooked but that fault lies on us. Overall, I still give this place a solid 5 out of 5. Do yourself a favor and go ASAP!

Exceptionally good service/focus to ensure a great dining experience. Menu and beverage offerings complementary to a higher end restaurant. Food quality and presentation excellent, especially for the price points. Ambience and table set up for room was comforting and cozy. Noise level too high for stimulating conversations

While our food was OK overall, it was inconsistent - some excellent, some not so good. The service started out great with our server named April. She was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and helpful. However, the drinks we ordered seemed to take way too long to arrive even though the restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived. Then April disappeared and began taking orders at other tables and our service level dropped remarkably. We constantly had to ask for water and iced tea refills, poured our own wine, etc. and the food took way too long to arrive. Lastly, the Irish Coffee I ordered was not made correctly as it only contained black coffee and a small amount of Irish whiskey but no heavy (or whipped) cream. Overall, we were hoping for a good experience on our first visit to City Hall and were disappointed. If you want to be considered one of the Tulsa areas top level steakhouses like Mahoganys, Bull in the Alley, Pryme, Jimmy's chophouse, etc. then you are really going to step up the service levels and food consistently.
