From the OpenTable editors: Chef Tandy Wilson has eight James Beard Award nominations and one win under his belt for the innovative pizza and Italian fare he slings at City House. Wilson tops blistered pie crusts coming out of the woodfired oven with the likes of house pork belly ham or local and seasonal veggies, plus ensures there's very little food waste in dishes such as bread gnocchi with cauliflower ragu that uses up leftover pizza crust. Don't miss the fun bartender guest stars who ensure plenty of good bourbon flows through the wide open kitchen and dining room.

    Consistently one of the best restaurants in Nashville. We enjoyed the fresh mozzarella, corn cake with radicchio, cat fish, chicken with pin wheel pasta, gnocchi and two fabulous desserts. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

    We have tried to get back into City House many times, but we could never get a reservation. So I made a reservation two months in advance and got in! It was EVERY BIT as good as we remembered. The service and the food are absolutely outstanding. We ordered bottle of wine, so it was an expensive night. But it wouldn't have to be too costly if you weren't drinking. We ordered both the cabbage salad and the mozzarella salad. I don't know how they can be that good. The cabbage salad is unbelievably flavorful, and we actually asked for the recipe for the dressing - and they gave it to us! My husband and I each got pizza's and they were outstanding. I got the mushroom and fennel pizza. It was fantastic. We ended the night splitting the panna cotta, which was also excellent. Our server was friendly and very attentive and helpful, without being overbearing. He really made it a delightful evening. We decided we're just going to start making reservations a couple months in advance so we can get back to City House several times a year. It's just too good not to go back soon!

    Do not really give reviews all that much but after going to City House on and off for over 10 years, last's night meal was one of the best I have had anywhere in Nashville this past year.

    We were promptly seated and food service was timely. The server was helpful on food and wine, particularly with the pet nat. The sweet potato was a surprise hit and the pizzas were A+. Well done to all!

    Always enjoy the service at City House but disappointed in the total lack of vegetarian entrees on the winter seasonal menu. I understand that some ingredients can’t be modified, but it really limits options and overall experience if you don’t eat meat or fish.
